Dancing Eyes Should Be The Most Salacious Game With A Monkey You’ll See Today

By Spencer . June 16, 2011 . 1:42am

Namco Bandai went through their archives and greenlit a remake of Dancing Eyes for PlayStation 3. Since Dancing Eyes was only for arcades you may not have seen it. Here’s a look at the original game from 1996.

So… you play as a monkey who cuts away clothes off an idol while dodging enemies. Dancing Eyes for PlayStation 3 doesn’t stray from the concept. It’s the same game with better graphics and optional PlayStation Move controls. You can still use a Dualshock 3 controller with Dancing Eyes.

Namco announced three "models" for Dancing Eyes on the official site – Crisitia Saietta, Francoise Mystere, and Musaki Kikka who appears to be tied to Japanese voice actress who played Alicia in Valkyria Chronicles.

One other interesting note about Dancing Eyes is the game is part of the Namco Generation arcade remake series. Other Namco Generation titles include family friendly games like Pac-Man Championship Edition DX and Galaga Legions DX. Dancing Eyes’ release date is TBD.

I’m sorry but the monkey commercial was too funny lol

    • Nice one indeed. He was totally obsessed.

This can only come from Japan.

    • blah blah

Part of me wishes Japan would stop making stuff that has no chance of coming because I’ll wanna import it someday. :(

      • At least PS3 games are region-free, which makes importing possible.

        • Aoshi00

I think this is a downloadable game from PSN, so you just have to have a Jpn acct and get some yen cards.. I’d love to get this if the Jpn PSN store is back up and it’s not region locked from other regions..  when the heck will the Jpn PSN store be back up anyway..

Anyway, the commercial is so weird and hilarious..  I never played the original game.. finally a Move title I’m eager to play :)

          • damnit I was just gonna ask if this was retail or PSN.
no way this could make it to retail in this day and age though.

          • shy_mel

In the video for the PS3 release, when the game logo is shown, PS3 download is directly above the logo.

          • Aoshi00

Reminds me of the type of games like Incredible Crisis or Mosquito :)  At least this is much more fun than Kung Fu Rider :)  Yep, just PSN d/l game.. but Jpn PSN store has been down forever even after E3, what’s the deal..

          • It seems they threw away the original flavor of the game released a long time ago as it had lots more to offer than just a bunch of women.

It also had giant fish, men and cows and bird as well as lots of other things.

            I weep.

          • Aoshi00

But I don’t want to cut off skins of giant fish, cows, or birds lol.. just women are fine :) It’s like those budget series PS2 games w/ the giant women..

Can’t believe such a game even exists! Its so strange….mind-boggling.

  • darkfox1

wait what so people would play this game in Japan Arcades!?!? Awesome I like the way Japan is ok with stuff like this. Makes me wonder why the US is a Puss

    • d19xx

Because we have news companies like Fox that will not even bother researching their material and will just probably spit out “New video game allows you to strip underage women for points. Contains uncensored sex with mutants and midgets from space.”

Then we have your everyday soccer moms who has no time to take care of their own kids, but have plenty of time to protest these type of crap…

      • HistorysGreatestMonster

Do you really think a game like this would even show up on Fox News’ radar? It’s not going to be a million seller and it won’t have a ton of P.R. behind it.

        • Testsubject909

“ZOMG! Rapelay, a game that lets you rape non-existential digital representation of girls with an ending that actually suggests you shouldn’t rape since the protagonist gets killed by one of the rapee but we’re not going to bother mentioning that, is totally available for kids even though it’s clearly an Adult Only game that’s illegal to sell outside of Japan and whose only method of acquisition is through an illegal pirating of a copy with the usage of an english patch made by hackers but we’re obviously not going to say that either because we’re a legit journalistic company that would in no way participate in anything illegal or questionable. Not to mention that this game isn’t all that popular or played to begin with and that our talking of it has certainly given a greater rise to it’s popularity though you’ve obviously no need to know that because all you need to know is that IT’S A GAME WHERE YOU RAEP PEOPLE! THINK OF THE CHILDREN! BAN SEX GAMES!”

Nope… Fox would never attack a game like this. No way, nuh-huh…

    • FireCouch

It’s called culture.  And I see that it’s working, because I would never want to play this game.

    • That’s nothing. Strip Mahjong arcade cabinets are a common sight in Japanese game centers. I once saw a Night Shift Nurses strip mahjong game right next to a string of Tekken cabinets. Was a bit weird at first, having all those Tekken players right next to me.

  • Crimson_Cloud

    Nice underwear…
A-anyway, this looks so wacky that is actually fun.

  • puchinri

Because that’s not at all weird or creepy.
I don’t suppose there will be any sexy dudes in there either for us to cut the clothes of?

    • [The Hunter] Doomrider

I vote for Mitsurugi. Dude’s hot.

      No homo.

      • puchinri

Oh man, I would nosebleed til the end of days if he was added.

    • Why would there be? This isn’t aimed towards females or homosexual males, obviously.

      • puchinri

They could have made it aimed toward everybody. It wouldn’t have hurt.

        • Guest

          Yes, it would have, obviously.

          • puchinri

Getting more money because it caters to more people would hurt how?
And I mean, pfft, it obviously wouldn’t hurt those of that enjoy some nice, sculpted abs. ohyeabby~. (I’m sure I don’t need to mention underwear bulges.)

          •  The original dancing eyes features much more than attractive women. There were stages with men, stages with inanimate objects, and more.

I would imagine that Namco is probably going to keep the formula the same.

Dancing eyes was never really about fanservice anyway, play the game and see for yourself.

          • puchinri

@facebook-1206251465:disqus  Oh, cool. That’s somewhat surprising.
It’d be nice if they did.

Admittedly, it did seem fun and not entirely about the fanservice, but it was indeed somewhat blatant, lol. I’ll probably give the new one a try if they have a demo or something.

          • Guest

That’s not how it works. If you put anything anyone could ever like into one game it ultimately fails because then nobody buys it.

          • puchinri

@Nespithe:disqus  Well aside from objects, why put cute idol girls in the game then? (And not sexy dudes.)
And really, I don’t get your logic… There’s a huge jump in logic there? But either way, the original did apparently have men too apparently, so the point is null now, I guess. (Since they saw fit to include them the first time and all.)

  • Totally getting this. Regardless if it comes out in the US or not.

  • theoriginaled

I want that Soul Edge Shirt.

  • Jeebs

    Perverted, yet intriguing.

    US release plz!

  • AdrianHeng

Ahh, Japan, land of culture, age old traditions and- Who am I kidding? It’s the Land of Pantsu.

  • AnimeRemix

I would literally want to play this game… It looks so fun, but perverted at the same time, lol. That’s what I call thinking out the box! =P

    • Testsubject909

Literally want to play this game? So what… The alternative is to figuratively play it?

How do you figuratively play a video game?

  • nyobzoo

  • Testsubject909

    Reminds me of Sentimental Shooting.
Top down scrolling bullet hell where you shot off women’s clothings, followed by their underwear…

While an armada of miniature ships went to try and prevent you from shooting her clothes off…

  • maxchain

Ah, another inevitable tally mark for the Too Bad I Can’t Play This list.

  • kroufonz

it looks worse than some illusion 3d eroge!

i wish namco make [email protected] PS3 with move support instead

  • SHT! I NEED SOME YEN ON MY JAP PSN (i feel it will be released for psn)… Still some of those scared me xD, first i need to see how much of a remake this will be

  • What a concept. I’m shocked more eroge don’t have similar game mechanics (outside of Sentimental Shooting, that is!).

  • The pervert in me will not allow me to not buy this. =(

  • Suicunesol

This would make a really great handheld game. The gameplay looks very pick-up-and-play on a whim rather than some big console thing. It’s like a perverted Pacman.

You could download new models via DLC, and–

  • doomspeller10

Just when I think I have seen it all… Japan finds something to surprise me.

  • Japan is pretty open minded when it comes to things like this. Also, girls have otome games.
When was the last time you saw a US/EU game made for women?

  • Where are all the cows and other things you could select?

It seems like they are turning the game into 100% eye candy now.

Before it just had it in there but you could pick cows and people stuck in boxes and stuff.

This one just seems purely women.

Also there were guys in the last game as well.

But my favorite stage was the Giant rig with the giant flying fish in it.
