Not yours… the protagonist’s and his two classmates Daichi and Io. We casually mentioned the gruesome website last week in our Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 announcement. Now we have more information about it. In the Japanese version, the page is called Nicaea, "a dead face delivery site" running in beta. Rumor has it you can see videos of your friends who have died.
The protagonist gets an e-mail with a video of his face on Nicaea. Io and Daichi receive similar messages, but all three characters are alive. The scene from the movie begins to play out in real life when you’re caught up in a subway accident. You get knocked out and when you regain consciousness you see an unbelievable scene.
During Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 you will receive e-mails from Nicaea and this information can be used to save your friends. Players can choose either Tiko (the girl with bunny ears) or Tycho (the well dressed guy) as their Nicaea contact.
The protagonist also meets a mysterious melancholy man (striped red shirt) who gives the hero an important message and calls him a "shining person." Famitsu also revealed Tuesday’s invader and if you’ve been following our Devil Survivor 2 coverage you probably already know its name – Phecda. All of the invaders are named after stars in Ursa Major, specifically the seven that form the Big Dipper.
Phecda’s power is controlling wind.
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 comes out on July 28 in Japan and early next year in North America.
