Pucca Power Up Mixes Platforming And Ninja Love

Pucca, if you haven’t heard of it, is a popular media franchise with its origins in Korea. Pucca herself is a 10-year-old girl, in the care of the owners of the Goh-Rong noodle house. Pucca’s in love with a ninja named Garu, and both characters are silent in the Pucca cartoon, with only the supporting cast talking.

UFO Interactive are bringing a Pucca game to the Nintendo DS in a game called Pucca Power Up. You can watch the game’s debut trailer below:

Interestingly, the DS game has some of the original Pucca TV shorts recreated using the in-game models. UFO Interactive plan to release the game on August 16th.

  • I want this game RIGHT this instant!!  Seriously gonna have to get it now.

  • It would be so awesome if they had the english VA, I saw the villain ninja dude, lol. This show would always crack me up. I wonder if the theme song is in it too?!

Thats my song! Love it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y1LxO74EZ3k

    looks fun! :D

Lol, Pucca is so ridiculously fun, I’d play the game just for that silliness. (Tobeee!)
Oddly enough, I suddenly remembered the episode where Garu falls in love with Pucca, and I was thinking about how that ended up reminding me of Millennium Actress (now that I’ve watched it).

I really miss Satoshi Kon now. He would have made a brilliant game if he had collaborated with someone (like Ni no Kuni kind of, but with much more input, especially creatively).
