Ace Combat: Assault Horizon’s Capital Conquest Supports 16 Pilots Online

The first multiplayer mode Namco Bandai revealed for Ace Combat: Assault Horizon was Capital Conquest which has players shoot each other with heat seeking missiles above one of the world’s metropolises. While other Ace Combat games take place in a world that parallels ours, Assault Horizon uses locations like Tokyo and Dubai.

Capital Conquest supports up to sixteen players for 8-on-8 dogfights. Ace Combat: Assault Horizon also has an experience system for its online modes. Earn points and you can unlock skills that boost your attack power and give your jet a stealth bonus.

  • Looks cool and nice to finally have the leading flight game in the genre on the PS3. Now my purchasing of this is dependent on the release date of the Vita.

I’m looking forward for this to be my first ace combat game.

I kinda liked fictional Ace Combat land.

Strangereal can take a break for a game or two, can’t it?

      • theworldofnoboundries

Hope the break is not forever lol.

Nice, Ace Combat is no longer following the path of boring flight sim anymore and is finally taking the arcade approach. Learned something from Heatseeker eh?

    • Ace Combat was always a far cry from simulation though, especially when compared side-by-side with a real flight sim.

I never said it was even close, but it was just as boring as one….There was no intensity of a dogfight in any of the games. Closest would be Belkan War fighting Pixy….but even that wasn’t close to a FUN dogfight….all of these Ace Combat games have it wrong by having the ability to engage an enemy when he’s barely visible and shooting him down before he can do the same. Understandably modern-day aircraft can lock-on, engage, and shoot down like 6 aircraft at once from a range of like 2-300 miles or something, but understand this is a VIDEO GAME…I wanna be shootan’ people down with mah gunz.

Too close for missiles, switching to guns. Herp derp.
