BloodRayne: Betrayal Will Crawl Out Of Its Coffin In August

By Ishaan . July 14, 2011 . 3:05pm

Majesco haven’t been very forthcoming with BloodRayne: Betrayal news since that trailer back in May, but they announced the game’s release date today. Betrayal will be released on August 30th on PlayStation Network and the 31st on Xbox Live.

Unlike the previous BloodRayne games, BloodRayne: Betrayal is a 2D side-scroller developed by WayForward Technologies.

I still need to play the first 2 -_- ………

I think there’s no need to. I also haven’t played the previous games yet I’m really interested to get this game.

I watched the trailer and some E3 gameplay videos and it looked very good. I really trust Wayforward that they’ll bring another solid 2D game.

Here’s hoping that they’ll develop an HD 2D Contra game next (I think Arc Sys’ Hard Corps was turning to a series of it’s own as what Arc and the Konami producer stated).

No, you don’t. They weren’t very good.

    • Wasn’t this a reboot? I could be wrong. :X Either way, I guess that means that this would be a good game to start.

  • ahh goody! I love me some 2D games <3

It’s like a Castlevania comic book!  I hope this ends up being as good as it looks.

I lost most of my interest after hearing the interview InDis had with the developer.

Gonna be waiting for a price drop or sale on this one.

    • What happened there exactly?

      • Mister_Nep

The designer there said 7-8 regular enemy types, 5 bosses, 15 bucks, vaguely referenced 15 levels, the only thing he said you’ll be getting along the way is an extra gun and a transformation, and the main reason to replay the game is to scorechase. It’s clear there’ll be lots of repetition -_-….

Although the guy was legitimately happy to make the game so I want to support a team where they have a good guy like him developing games, but….can’t do it after hearing that.

        • Yeah, the screenshots look like there’s a lot of reusing done. Still they look pretty smashing, so the game might be fun when it goes on sale.
