The Hatsune Miku 2020 Re-design For 7th Dragon 2020

By Ishaan . July 30, 2011 . 11:00am

Not only is Hatsune Miku singing the theme song for 7th Dragon 2020, she’ll make an appearance in the game as a character, too. The Project Diva blog and both have brief glimpses of her new 2020 design and in-game model:

Not that you should expect her to look like the concept art in the game, though. The  screenshot at the top of the post or this image will give you a better idea:

Thanks to Stephie for the heads up!

So she makes a cameo as well? Wonder if we’ll get sub-events centering around her…

Her design looks nice and her model very cute btw.

    • I actually like her in-game model even more than the concept art. That design translates *very well* to SD, I think.

    • theworldofnoboundries

If i am not mistaken she already ever been a cameo in one game in DS…. i forget the name of the gam but she is in one of the game minigame.

      • neocatzon

13 Sai No Hello Work DS, it’s a collection of minigames :D

        • theworldofnoboundries

Oh yeah, tx for the info. I bought the game before just for the Miku lol and i was so depressed as Miku only show up in one mini game during the recording session.

  • Exkaiser

Miku, could you please move? You’re interrupting my odyssey here…

…No, wait, that’s a poor joke even by my standards.

  • <3 Shirow Miwa art!

    so pretty

  • xXDGFXx

    so pretty <3
    love her design :3

  • And here I thought this was the next design post-Miku Append.

  • And it’s better if she’s playable too.

    • That would be awesome! I wonder what her class and skills would be like…..

      • theworldofnoboundries

Here comes Miku with the ultimate skill. Decultureeee!!!…. Uups thats macross i see.

      • If #HatsuneMiku were to be indeed playable, I can see her class as “Princess”.

I’m quite curious as to what kind of role she’s going to play in this game. Singing the theme song and a cute cameo is nice and all; however, if she ends up as something more (playable or otherwise), then I’m going to have no choice but to get this game.

  • haqua

There is nothing about that design I don’t like.
Absolutely nothing. (inb4 PVs using the design)

Her in-game model is cute, too.

  • I love her design! Its so cute!

  • vivaluis59

    never coming to usa…… T_T

  • Darkrise

    That. Is one amazing design!

  • *_* I want this game even more now.

  • neocatzon

    This Miku need nendo ver.

    • I would go broke for this…

    • Kai2591

      and figma ver.!

  • Lexaus_the_Alchemist

So… is there a point to her being in the game or is it just for shits and giggles? Not that I’m complaining, just wondering if her surviving the whole “dragons-take-over-earth” mess has any purpose on the game.

  • Also, I really want this to get localized as well…

  • Kawaii!

  • She’s so adorable! I hope he’s playable and not just an NPC! I have a feeling the theme song will be in Project Diva Extend since the news was posted on the Project Diva blog.

Also nice job on linking it to my community over my twitter account XD I would’ve died of embarrassment if that was the case!

  • She’s sooo cute i want to hug her <3

  • I know this is kind of unrelated… but recently the cute Miku has been almost everywhere, Does she make a cameo in Neptunia? She’d fit in so perfectly

  • AzureNova

My eyes exploded form the cuteness! So kawaii >_<

  • SuigetsuHiramura

Lmao the head’s bigger than the rest of the body in-game… well, I guess that’s Japanese -style videogames for ya XD The artwork is gorgeous!

    • You know what “Chibis” are, right?

      • SuigetsuHiramura

Don’t insult my intelligence.  Chibi=tiny in Japanese; they are irresistably cute forms of popular characters in anime and anything else, really.

  • Beautiful design, hoping we’ll get it as a model in Project Diva Extend as well.

  • cool
