I was hoping for the series to have some sort of plot where you at least do something along the lines of God Eater (even after reading the title I thought, “well, maybe you make monster friends?”), but looking it up on Wiki it pretty much reuses the plot of Toradora :/

  Pretty much what William here said, the plot is no where near the plot for toradora, in fact the feel of the manga feels quite different. Anyways, quite interested to see how this turns out seeing as I quite like this series.

Oh wow I actually rather enjoy this series. :) It’s pretty funny. Would love to see more chapters released though. Translation is too slow. I love the chapter when they all played Monster Hunter. XD That was really great.

Since Namco is doing it, I really hope they actually make the game Monster Hunter-esque where you control the characters from the series. It shouldn’t be that hard since they can just reuse the God Eater engine.

But, most likely, it’ll be some standard fare ADV game.

  Nah the series isn’t about romance or anything (from where I got to). The novel itself was more about the fun activities the club members have every day (their in a club for the purpose of making friends lol). Everyone here has social promblems and whatnot, but it was pretty funny for me.

      This is a site where their purpose is to translate light novels. A lot of them have become manga and anime, but of course reading the original source is usually best to begin with. Most of the time the anime and manga aren’t too faithful and never finish since the light novels are still on-going while they’re being adapted into a manga or anime.
      
      Also I have no clue how the game is going to be like. This series really doesn’t have romance but I could be wrong (since I’m not up to date too). So I’m sorry for responding like that.

They did Toradora, My Little Sister Can’t Be This Cute and Co. and they were all pretty cool games for fans of the show and or Galge/VN games. Seriously I see no problem other then Bandai teasing with a troll picture. Also that’s a Bandai game not Namco, but that’s just me who still differentiates between the two~

not me; es is one of those games i find hard to finish because it is the only traditional rpg on ps3(i think) and it is so bent towards kids it hurts me when i play; empty spaces between sentences when the camera has to change focus, basic animation on the main chars, doll-like attitude, cheap artistic direction, half empty screens, kid level emotional acting and dialogues, horrible comic releif kids-why do we even need comic relief??? is it that dark to begin with?…..i still mourn xenogears.and chrono cross.
i’ll stop here or i’ll insult square again. and more ohhhh so much more…..

Probably though if they were going to do a sequel of ES they would have done it last year to celebrate Chopin’s 200th. Oh well.

Plenty of anime/manga/visual novels have girls fighting over guy who has no personality whatsoever and wants to be left alone and finds the girls, who want to spend time with him, annoying. I just want that ”common” stuff less as possible. If that isn’t the case with this game then it’s all good.

    The protagonist is usually a boring guy with no personality because it’s supposed to make the player feel into the game (that way, they can fill the voids themselves).
    
    That also explains why the male best friend is always so much of a pervert and idiot, that no woman in her right mind would want to go with him. Can’t have someone steal the player’s girls, now can we? In order not to make the best friend a “menace” for the harem, they have to make him absolutely ridiculous.
    
    Then again, it’s not exactly belieavable that the girls would wanna go after the boring guy, either.

It’s about a group of people that have created a club to make friends and in the process of making some, basic plot but has lot’s of humour and tons of funny moments. No ecchi fanservice so far in the manga, of course the anime might change that… But the manga is recommended if you want to have a good laugh.
