Ico and Shadow of the Colossus Collection Includes New Footage Of The Last Guardian

North America may not be getting the special Japanese Ico and Shadow of the Colossus Collection Limited Box, but the collection will still contain some bonus content on the disc . Sony mentioned these on the PlayStation blog today.

 

On the disc will be five bonus behind-the-scenes videos about both Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. The list (quoted verbatim) is:

 

  • Early concept and prototype video montage of Ico
  • Early concept and prototype video montage of Shadow of the Colossus
  • Initial concept video for NICO, a game that was never made but turned into Shadow of the Colossus, including an on-camera introduction from creator Fumito Ueda
  • Candid 20+ minute round-table discussion between Fumito Ueda (creator), Kenji Kaido (producer) and Junichi Hosono (designer)

 

Those are the content pertaining to Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. In addition to these, there will also be a 12-minute behind-the-scenes video filmed at the Sony Computer Entertainment offices in Japan, with interviews about the making of both games, as well prototype footage and new footage of The Last Guardian.

 

 Ico and Shadow of the Colossus Collection is due out on September 27th in North America.

    I just hope the video is subbed not dubbed. It’s “fine” for anime and video games but it’s extremely irritating when you’re watching some guy talk and a completely different voice comes on. Not to mention you can faintly hear the original voice in the back too.

      How/why would they re-dub it in any way?  The fictional language in the ICO universe has always been universal in all regions.  That is, the backwards pig latin quasi-Japanese they’ve always been using lol.

      Especially when people like Miyamoto, Kojima, etc are being dubbed by women’s voices lol.. it’s so jarring to see a woman’s voice coming out of their mouths.. I mean, can’t they just find someone in the same gender at least?   Iwata was dubbed by a kick ass Eng.voice though :) Oh well, not everyone speaks fluent English like Kaz Hirai or the one million troop guy :) I don’t mind Toriyama Motomu being voiced by a woman though I don’t like him :P

      Anyway, I do have the NICO video on DVD when I imported Colossus before..

    Ugh, I guess I’ll have to find a way to get both versions.

    And that character should haveve been a girl. With that exact same design. ;n;
    Most disappoint, Ueda. Most disappoint.

    can’t wait for this along with ZOE HD Collection, MGS HD Collection, and RE Revival Selections :P
