One day, in the world of Let’s Go! Burunyanman Portable, a chubby cat was hungry for some canned tuna. He looked through all of his hidden stashes, but couldn’t find a single can. Believing mice to be the thieves, the cat transformed into a girl and flew to the sky… all for canned tuna. That’s the zany plot of Let’s Go! Burunyanman Portable in a nutshell.
Originally, this PSP shooter was a mini-game in Musumaker, an eroge visual novel released for PCs in 2008. Alchemist expanded Let’s Go! Burunyanman Portable into a full game with seven stages, three difficulty levels, and Sukunyanman as a second payable character. The game uses a simple control scheme where tapping shot fires a wide burst of bullets and holding it down creates a narrow, but powerful laser. Players can collect other flying cats that act as gunpods before battling mice… that transformed into girls at the end of each level. Defeat a boss and you’re rewarded with images, which are probably the sole reason Let’s Go! Burunyanman Portable is rated CERO D (that’s like a M from the ESRB.)
Alchemist planned to ship Let’s Go! Burunyanman Portable on December 1, but delayed the game without announcing a new release date.
