And Here I Thought All Moogles Were Friendly

A new quest in Final Fantasy XIV tells the story of Good King Moggle Mog XII. Moogles, loyal servants of the gods, were at war over a goblet of wine. The wise king decided to bring mooglekind to the land of the mortals so they can live life at peace. While moogles can fly, their little wings couldn’t carry them throughout the whole journey. They had to travel to the Promised Land by rope and Good King Moggle Mog XII held one end as his subjects climbed to a peaceful land, but the moogle monarch was left behind.

 

At last, the king has returned… and you have to fight him plus his loyal moogle warriors. Win and you’ll be handsomely rewarded with moogle weapons made in honor of Good King Moggle Mog XII. Players have to be level 50 or above and in a party with eight players to challenge the moogle king.

 

 

 

 

This new quest is one of the events Square Enix added to Final Fantasy XIV version 1.20. The full list of changes, which outlines other quests is right here.

    I thought the same way about the mushroom people in Dark Souls, but then their parents took out HALF OF MY HEALTH in one punch.

    Never trust the cute ones. =)

      The most dangerous thing about the parent mushroom enemies in Dark Souls isn’t their raw damage output, it’s their better than average tracking (of their attacks) and the fact that it’s harder than normal to stagger them.  This problem is only compounded if you’re fighting multiples of them in a confined space (i.e. the base of the Great Hollow).

      Of course, you could always lame them out.

    Intresting, though i *do* play the game now. i doubt i’ll get high enough to do that fight anytime soon…so i can’t wait to watch Youtube videos of other people doing it to see what crazy stuff those Moogles can do.

      lol No one said reaching a high level is cheap. I know that much from playing F2P MMO’s.

      Though a fight against a king moogle would be a troll of a challenge.
