Kingdom Hearts 3D Will Have A Secret Movie For Players To FindSpeaking with Famitsu, Tetsuya Nomura confirmed Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance will have a secret movie. Like the secret movie in Re:Coded, it will connect to the next game in the Kingdom Hearts series. He told the magazine this ending will have a shocking revelation.

 

The regular ending, Nomura says, will be a different direction from the rest of the series.

 

In Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, players control Sora and Riku who are taking the Mark of Mastery Exam to become Keyblade Masters. Worlds in this game are sleeping and players need to wake them up, with the help of Dream Eaters, to restore them.

 

Nomura also mentioned Japan will get a second downloadable demo of Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy. The first demo included one song from Final Fantasy VI.

      Nomura said no work has started on 3 until FF Versus XIII comes out. And I really don’t think we’ll be seeing that game any time soon.

        I digress. It’s probably Kingdom Hearts 3. It’s not the first time SE has shown off a game that was not yet being developed. I believe when KH2 was shown, it was a hype trailer rather than a real preview.

        If not KH3, then maybe Kingdom Hearts: 4D-Dream Drop Distance Destiny.

        Wait, KH:3D (3DS) movie to show off what’s next for KH:BBS2 (most likely Vita)? Even though, it’s definitely not the first time they’ve done something so illogical for the series, I guess the phrase “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” fits. 

        I really feel sorry for all the people who don’t buy the handhelds and want to make sense of this. SE’s marketing team must have a field-day of laughs whenever a KH game is close to being released.

    Jokes aside, well, since this is KH, I bet it’s very going to be intriguing as always. Let the theories roll~!

          I no rite?! She had like 1 line in KH1 right before the storm at Destiny Islands and that was it. You’d think they would try to establish a bit more of a family relationship/history to show why Sora’s so damn cheery all the time! =/

        Nomura has stated in the past that he doesn’t consider the parents of the main trio important whatsoever, and from the looks of it he hasn’t given them much thought at all.

        Then again, he might just be a lying liar who lies to throw us off-track, so…

        Yes and no, yes if you play on normal because you always have to 100% something and no if you play on proud or critical because it gives it to you automatically. also since japan gets the game first and the 3ds is region locked it means people will want to see the story without playing the game since they can’t play it

        The requirements are usually something like get a 100% completion rate in the game and/or play on the hardest mode. Some games are harder than others to get the secret ending, but there’s always those super dedicated gamers that can do it like that *snaps fingers*

        There is the issue of Sora being the hero as confirmed on numerous occasions and having him lose his abilities would mean the end of the series without touching KHIII that people (including myself) have been waiting for for a long time now.

            I dunno it would definitely be different… but I just don’t see that happening. Who knows King Mickey might die or Yen Sid or something who knows.

         Sadly, Sora is the favorite character for Nomura and he would never do something like this with the poor homeless boy. He said Sora will always be KH hero and that’s something I don’t like. He was never supposed to use a Keyblade anyway. :|
         By the way, He already lost his powers once. In Chains of Memories.

    Well, Re:coded was the first game that had a secret ending that actually showed what was going to happen next. Every other game has had a cg trailer with random phrases and flashy battles that only foreshadowed what was to come. Dunno, maybe the new movie, won’t even be a movie. A playable sequence, perhaps?

    I am guessing that the secret movie will lead into Birth By Sleep Volume 2 or something. I wonder how many more Kingdom Hearts titles will be released before KH3.

      Nomura stated that he like to tell the story of King Mickey and Riku when Sora is in hibernation between Chain of Memories and KHII. So, that gives us 2 more games alongside with BbS Vol. 2

    Hmm, shocking, huh? It would be more shocking to me if Sora was an enemy all along. >w> But that can’t be happening, though, Mickey Mouse became an enemy? lolno, Mickey is more like a goody-two shoe person. :L

      I bet my money on Riku will be an antagonist, and will fight with Sora in KHIII side by side with Master Xehanort. Remember, Vanitas had a striking similar suit with KHI Riku/Ansem.

    I’m perfectly okay with this. Birth by Sleep secret ending was amazing and worth the effort (I started the game on normal, and went for the 100% completion thingamabob, I didn’t look it up on youtube or anything :P), so I’m ready for this one.

    What does that mean? Will KH3D have multiple endings? I don’t understand that statement.

      At this point, no one understands what it means. Nomura LOVES being vague and giving answers that leads to more questions on purpose, so don’t worry if you don’t get it- odds are nobody will get it until they see the ending itself.

      Generally KH games have multiple endings, but not multiple in a way that affects canon – for instance, one ending doesn’t contradict the other (like, say, Final Fantasy X-2, where depending on your actions the game ended in a different way). Normally with a KH game there is the standard ending that completes the game, which usually revolves around the direct events of the final battle. Then there’s a more difficult to obtain, ‘secret’ ending which doesn’t contradict the first, but reveals more details about things that are happening the background, generally things that are dealt with in more detail in an upcoming title. So there’ll be a ‘regular’ ending, which deals with the finale of the game and which will, apparently, be different to the ‘regular’ endings we’ve had so far, and a ‘secret movie’, which will drop hints and teasers about the next game in the series. It’s a nice way to get gamers to go back and work a little harder to collect the collectables and complete the sidequests, to extend the game a little and reward a dedicated gamer.

    I really hope that this game lives up to KH1, KH: CoM and :Re CoM, and KH2. I haven’t truly enjoyed a KH game as much as those ones. Yet, seeing as Sora and Riku are the primary protagonists, this could be amazing. I also cannot wait to see what teaser this secret ending gives us. I absolutely loved KH1′s and KH2′s.

    I see that they will incorporate many environments from Fantasia here… not quite sure what to think yet. As for the ending, I guess it will reveal that Aqua is back or something… or that Xehanort is not only back, but so are all his old allies. Something more mundane than what he is promising, at any rate.

    Kairi tells Sora that she’s pregnant. Aqua is roaming around in darkness in the same clothes she’s had since she landed there for all those years and hasn’t changed in appearance at all.

    I’ll be getting a guide with this one just like I had to do with Birth by Sleep, lol.  Still haven’t unlocked the KH 2 secret ending (^_^) so I just gave up and “youtube”d it, haha.
