Sazh: Heads Or Tails? Final Fantasy XIII-2 Episode Launches On February 28

Final Fantasy XIII-2′s first downloadable episode will be released worldwide on February 28. The Sazh storyline, called "Head or Tails?" in the West, lets players control Sazh. His story runs parallel to the events in Final Fantasy XIII-2 and he goes to the casino world, Serendipity to win back the most important thing in his life. Sazh’s scenario will also add two new mini-games Chronobind and Serendipity poker to Final Fantasy XIII-2.

Extra costumes for Serah and Noel will be available on the same day. Here’s a quick glance at Final Fantasy XIII-2′s DLC schedule with international prices.

While I don’t mind and will definitely buy the costume DLCs, the prices for those are too damn high! The Sazh chapter Is fine though (hoping there’s some gameplay segments though besides just games). Can’t wait!
PS. Hoping Serah gets something that’s not completely pink eventually.

A lot of video game girls are scantily clad. How is her outfit supposed to protect her from harm? I’m not complaining, I’m just saying @xZeroShift:disqus has somewhat of a point. But it’s not Serah’s fault!

How is her normal outfit any better except is cover more skins ?
Against a behemoth is doesn’t matter if you show more skin or not he would cut you in pieces no matter what kind of cloth you would wear.
If they really wanted to make XIII-2 more realistic they would have made Serah and Noel wear armors.

Actually, her skirt is relatively mild, compared to other swimwear costumes in various Japanese games – as far as bikinis go, at least.
And it’s not like she’s losing much skin coverage from her default costume; she only lost the midriff section. XD

Sazh is great and all but I really could do without the Casino games.On top of that I pretty much got the gist of why he was in Serendipity in the first place.So unless buying this would allow Sazh to be a playable monster, I’m passing on this one.

Oh thank goodness, the last Siliconera article had said that the Sazh scenario was going to be $8 dollars, but this one says its going to be $5. I reeaallyy hope thats not a typo and that it really will be $5, because $8 would have just been outrageous. Somehow that extra $3 bucks makes a huge difference. Better chance of me getting it now if it adds enough extra content.

I’ll probably skip this. I never really cared for Sazh, and I got all the fragments at serendipity so only chocobo racing is useful to me.

Sazh isn’t interesting. He’s pretty boring and forgettable. I’d say outta the whole ff XIII cast he’s the most normal and relatable, but I happen to like more exaggerated and crazy characters better. Plus he’s kinda lousy in battle.

$2.99 is too much for one extra costume, but fanservice sells indeed. Doesn’t change the fact that I disagree with having a swimsuit costume in a FF game.
Also, Sazh goes to Serendipity to win back the most important thing in his life? Did he lose Dajh in a game of cards?

A bit much for a costume. You should be able to get both for that price. But they know they can get that much out of their fans, so that’s what they’re going to charge. On a positive note, I really like Noel’s Spacetime Guardian costume. Kind of looks like futuristic Kain armor.

I haven’t actually played FF XIII-2 yet or rather i can’t seeing as my ps3 is back home and i am at university. The great thing is though when i do return home i’ll have all this dlc to download and play around with and i’ll be playing the game for the first time rather than playing with default costumes like everyone else has. Score ^__^

Anywho, Noel’s costume looks pretty awesome, but I still don’t buy costumes. 2 exceptions to that: Arkham City and UMVC3. Not about to add a 3rd at that price. I mean, c’mon, they priced the Sazh DLC nicely — $5 for more story? Perfect, I’d have paid $10 and they undercut that. $3 for some skins though? I’ll pass. They look nice, but I’ll pass.

Square Enix must be really desperate to get our money.. By leaving a half-a**ed ending and selling us swimsuit outfit as fanservice DLC(Which I think is unnecessary for FF…), they hope that these DLCs will sell like hot cakes…
At least here, my local EB store just slashed down the price of ff13-2 in just after two weeks… It shows that the game isn’t selling well here and the buyers here just gotten smarter… I did not even see a pre-owned copy of it yet…

I’m gonna get Sazh’ scenario for sure. Glad to see it’s even cheaper now! Not yet sold on the costumes…To be honest, I’m not particularly fond of either and as everyone has already stated before me, they cost too much (though I could see myself buying the Ezio one even for that price or higher, lol).

it is heavily implied by a fragment that is obtained on serendipity, that says Dajh calls his chocobo Chocolina.

Sahz scenario being just a mini-game tour doesn’t sound THAT appealing… as for the outfits- meh. Noel’s red outfit looks cooler, and Serahs outfit is just… no. Just no. It was lazy in FF X-2, it’s lazy here.

just great! i hope they will release a free episode add-ons coz it really is dissapointing that they give us the confusion in the ending part…honestly im quite dissapointed in the game 1st there are lot of accessories and yet we cant use them all because of limits 2nd lots of monsters and yet we cant use them all i mean we can tame them but we do select the best one in the party. 3rd the logo of the game is caius and lightning and yet we rarely see lightning. 4th the boss are easy to defeat even in normal mode. 5th crystarium is not well balanced coz you can max out the level of the role in just a day if ur a gamer. 6th when you max all of ur roles to lvl 99 your still saving a cp does it mean that they will increase the level cap in the future? one thing im a bit curious whats the gameplay of sahz is he going to play all the time in the serendipity and not going to fight? if thats the case it will be a crap i would love to see him fight monsters. and how long this gameplay will last? is it going to end if you finish playing in the casino. and FF13 storyline is longer compared to FF13-2

well it wasnt such a dissapointment becuz the game play was ton’s better then 13 in 13 u find your self batteling against bosses that were impossible to beat with out a full day grind this game was just right everything was perfect i hated 13 becuz it forced u to grind and u say its bad now 13-2 but they said they are making a story line for snow and lightning aswell so there is atleast something to look forward to after completing the game.and atleast there were fun minigames in this game wich final fantasy 13 didnt had pure battle grind battle and grind some more game worst final fantasy till now stays 13
