Is Namco Bandai Developing Pac-Man Smash?

Namco Bandai might be bringing their dot eating mascot character into a new video game. In Europe, Namco Bandai filed a trademark for Pac-Man Smash, which so far has not been announced by the publisher.

Perhaps, after his cameo in Street Fighter X Tekken Pac-Man became a fighter instead of a lover and we’re going to see a Pac-Man fighting game.  Or maybe Pac-Man has been hanging out with the Hulk too much and his next game is going to be like Rampage.
