Rumour: New Play Control! Pikmin 2 Will Be A Late Bloomer In North America

Recommended Videos

The latest of Nintendo Power magazine claims that a Nintendo Wii game is headed to North America three years after its European release. No, it’s not Disaster: Day of Crisis or Another Code: R—it’s New Play Control! Pikmin 2.

This is a modified Wii port of the Gamecube game, with support for the Wii Remote. A Wii port of the first Pikmin game was released as New Play Control! Pikmin in both North America and Europe, but the Pikmin 2 port never made it to the U.S.

In other Pikmin-related news, Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto recently confirmed that they will be showing a brand new Pikmin game at this year’s E3.
