Namco Bandai Cans Idol Clothes Cutting Game Dancing Eyes

Famitsu magazine reports the PlayStation Move powered version of Dancing Eyes has been canceled. We’re not really sure why Namco Bandai greenlit, which has players trace lines like Qix to remove clothes from dancing girls, in the first place.

Dancing Eyes was announced back in June 2011 and Namco Bandai has been pretty quiet after the initial news. Our last update came from music studio GEM Impact, which did voice recording for the game and incorrectly said Dancing Eyes was set for a worldwide release… and an Xbox 360 game.

That sad monkey from the trailer must be *really* sad now.

That title really needs some punctuation, before I read the article it seemed like a whole mess of words that made no sense. Namco Bandai Cans Idol-Clothes-Cutting-Game ‘Dancing Eyes’.

Shame, I would have played it.

    All that anticipation, wasted.

wow….I remember finding a trailer for this game on youtube a while back. I thought it came out years ago.

This would have made perfect fodder as an iOS or downloadable game, too. Suppose gamers will have to return to Soul Calibur V’s character creation to get their fill of PG-13-level nudity. :(

Still, the original was actually pretty fun. Hunt it down for MAME, definitely worth a try.

    Damn you,Namco!!
One of my favourite arcade games will never get its own HD remake! And it isn’t shameful as other games.

    I am disappoint.
If someone else uses that idea and it winds up being successful and up to their expectations they had of it, this song will be Bamco’s theme:

…I was saving yen on the JP PSN for this….

Who even comes up with this crap?! XDDD

I’m actually glad this got canned. Seriously, of all the classic arcade games they could have brought back, they chose the one about stripping girls of their clothing? Classy…

Hopefully now we can get a worthy retro-revamp, like Tower of Druaga or Mappy.
