One Day, You Had A Change Of Heart And Freed A Princess

By Spencer . May 21, 2012 . 1:26am

The story of Dokuro begins like many other video games do with a bad guy kidnapping a princess. You play as a lowly peon instructed to guard her. While the hero has a sinister looking face, he has a heart and decides to help the princess escape after seeing her crying.

Game Arts’ second PlayStation Vita title is a platformer where you switch between Skull Dokuro and a hunk who can sweep the princess off her feet and carry her across obstacles.

Dokuro comes out in Japan on July 5.

I ain’t going to lie but this trailer made me think I was looking at an indie game. Though if the gameplay is good then fine, its not like I don’t enjoy playing older games

Kinda reminds me of a certain Tim Burton movie. I like it, hopefully it will also plays great. I don’t know why, but I’ve been craving platformers lately. :b

Buying this I think. Only got Miku as an import title on my to-buy list.

    This is cute and awesome!
So now that we saw that magic potion does that mean we dont chance characters but Dokuro change forms?

Charming and humorous. That trailer definitely made me even more interested for this game. It would be a crime if this game wasn’t localized.

So basically the intro of the game… we must be getting our hands on that potion later on. It’s kind of nice how they manage to convey the story in such simplistic terms- Dokuro wants to save the princess because he’s nice and the mean evil overlord mistreats him. I wonder if the princess will know that Dokuro is the hunk, or if she will believe he’s some kind of alternate hero… I really thought that would be how this plays out, but I’d be happy to be proven wrong!

I want to play this game. There’s really not much else I can say about it. I like the premise, I like the art style. I want to play this game…a LOT.

Looks great and Game Arts never lets me down, now to sit and wait for someone in NA/EU to localize it.
