ACE Team And Atlus’ Zeno Clash II To Have Open World, Online Co-Op

Atlus USA are teaming up with Zeno Clash developer, ACE Team, for a follow-up to their first-person brawler. Zeno Clash II will be released in early 2013 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 with online co-op multiplayer.

Atlus say that Zeno Clash II will feature an open world, and that all the enemies, items and characters from the first game will return, along with new ones. Characters and enemies returning from the first game will see visual enhancements in Zeno Clash II.

You can watch a teaser trailer for Zeno Clash II above and view screenshots of the game below. Zeno Clash II is scheduled to release in early 2013 on Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, and Steam.

Can’t wait for people to get more upset about Atlus daring to branch out with other games and genres, like what happened with Divinity II.

That said, I didn’t play the first Zeno Clash, I might check it out as this looks promising.

Why don’t you play Zeno Clash first before you make your decision.  Just like Fitzpatrick, I wanted to like it but after I actually played it… not so much.  I’m not very interested in a sequel.

Also, a lot of the people who were unhappy with stuff like Divinity II and The Cursed Crusade weren’t just saying they didn’t like those games, it was a combination of Atlus publishing those while NOT announcing/publishing much of anything else in their more traditional genres during that time (remember, this was even before we got Catherine and P2 Innocent Sin Portable announcements, and not much else at the time was known).  That is no longer the case, fortunately.  Atlus is back like a BOSS now, guess they decided to show the Xseeds of the world that they weren’t quite ready to give up their crown just yet.

The first Zeno Clash is not available for the Playstation right?

Nope it’s on Wii as well, and I think that version came bundled with the soundtrack and artbook. Amazon that shizz mang.

You are wrong wrong wrong, Zeno Clash was originally released on PC and then came out on 360 as Zeno Clash: Ultimate Edition.  Awesome game, one of the most unique video game worlds I’ve ever seen.  Sucks for those who got motion sickness from it.

@google-29550b0d0f2d675a84e683686f01e9c7:disqus That’s odd considering that I know I hear that there was going to be a Wii version as well unless Atlus furbared the info in the email I got. Besides that I got the soundtrack downloaded for free and that made me even more interested in the game.

I wanted to like Zeno Clash but good god, the motion sickness I got from it…

No one minds Atlus USA branching out, as long as the games are GOOD(Trine II), not garbage(Cursed Crusade).
