Rainbow Moon’s Crafting System Lets You Preview The Results

By Ishaan . June 30, 2012 . 3:03pm

Like many other RPGs, Rainbow Moon also has a crafting aspect to it, by which you can improve your weapons and equipment. There are five different types of equipment in the game: weapons, hats, body armor, amulets and rings, each with their own abilities and attributes.

Each piece of equipment also has a certain number of crafting slots, which can be filled with materials collected from defeating monsters. Crafting results can be previewed in order to encourage experimentation, and you can watch a video of the crafting feature above.

Rainbow Moon will be released for the PlayStation via PSN on July 10th for $15.

So I tried shoving money directly into the PS3 to get this…that did not work…so now I have to take it to a repair shop. I’m just gonna tell the guy whatever he saves he can keep. That should cover payment.

How silly of you, trying to shove money into the PS3.

Couldn’t you tell by looking at your PS3? Obviously you need to use a card! Like a debit card!

Oh and, nice to see another bro hee-ho!

      • See? All of that wouldn’t happen half as often, if the Playstation Network Store finally allowed PayPal and instant pre-ordering!

had the same problem when they announced Persona 4 Arena and ToGf for us… luckily I got all the money out of the system. ~ ^~”’

Sidenote: inserting money into your PSP won’t work either. don’t ask why I know that…. please don’t.

Psh, everybody knows you’re supposed to tell success or failure by obscure facial expressions the characters make every few seconds, with unpredictable results you can only half glean from the crafting cost. Just ask Tri Ace!

What’s next? An actual logical connection between the materials and result?

That’s SO3 isn’t it? Game is fantastic but the crafting was a big step back from SO2 >.<

  • I love his accent. >__>

The art style on the character portraits kinda grates on me, but I suppose I’ll get over it. Game looks good.

  • That dev diary reminds me that I miss “Star Ocean 3 Till the End of Time” and Rune Factory. *will go and look for my DS things later on* xD
    Ahh good old times~.

The gameplay doesn’t seem to stand out but that doesn’t mean that it won’t be fun. Will look into it if my financials allow it, Thank you. ^^
