Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Trailer Brings Back Forest, Tiger, Alex And P-Jack

By Ishaan . July 6, 2012 . 8:30am

Tekken 3’s Forest Law, Marshall Law’s son, will be returning for Tekken Tag Tournament 2. Forest has been training at his dad’s dojo, and often gets in trouble along with Paul Phoenix, who has taken a liking to him. He’ll be joined by another character introduced in Tekken 3, too—Tiger Jackson, who has moves similar to Eddy’s, but the relationship between them is still a mystery.

Also making a return in Tag Tournament 2 is Alex. A combination of dinosaur DNA and Roger’s DNA—so, a dinosaur mixed with a kangaroo—Alex hasn’t fully matured yet, but is currently said to be on par with Roger in strength.

Finally, P-Jack, a prototype version of Jack developed in Russia, is in the game as well. After learning of Jack’s upgrades, P-Jack requested an upgrade from Dr. Bosconovitch, who gave him flight capabilities and rotating limbs. You can see all four characters in action in a new trailer for Tekken Tag Tournament 2 above.

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 will be released on September 11th in North America and September 14th in Europe for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. A Wii U version will follow later this holiday season.

Yep I knew they would get these characters they were like the only one’s left to get.  I’m in there day 1 though.

  • Valtiel Ikari

about dam time they bringed Alex back! and he better stay in the main series!

    • Guest

       Forest’s head is small….

    • puchinri

Ya know, they are really on a roll between this, Ni no Kuni and Tales.

  • ArcadiaSymphonia

Like Daniel Bryan would Say Yes! Yes! Yes!

Is there someone from Tekken still not included?
    Whatever…this game rocks!

    • alexis cortes

Doctor Boskonovitch, Azazel, NANCY-MI847J, Tetsujin and Miharu Hirano. Though I see Miharu as a “filler” character and Azazel and Nancy are boss only.
Unless they add some new characters, but still the game is fine as it is already and the best part… they’re FREE. Can’t wait to see those endings.

      • puchinri

Dr B was the one I was really wondering about. I would like to see him, but don’t need him, but felt like he was someone they would include.

And, yes. You summed it all up just right.

        • alexis cortes

I know lol, He was really hard to use since he was drunk and was always falling to the ground.

        • Marc Chowdhury

DR. B will mostly likely be in the game. Resent news from Harada confirmed it.

Yeah but Harada mentions he doesn’t own the rights to GON, but then again maybe he should just ask permission like he did for Tekken 3.

  • No9

Yay! Now I can get my ass kicked online by Marshall and Forest! .__.
I am quite excited for this game though.

    • puchinri

Lol, this. Also, I adore the world out of your avatar~. ♥

  • I just had an aneurysm, my mind exploded with awesomeness.

    Harada-san, thank you so much. We don’t deserve all of this ;__;

  • So up next are expies of Roger, JACK, Eddie and Marshall Law. =_=

  • Okay, so we now have lots of characters! But the one character I am still hoping for, has not yet been announced… Miharu Hirano; Ling Xiaoyu’s high-school friend and alternate costume for her in Tekken 4…

Please Harada-san, please include this girl so I can go all schoolgirl on everyone online! :)

    • Yu_TheKing

Or they can just have sei-fuku outfits so you can go all schoolgirl on everyone ;3

      • XiaomuArisu

         Jin:”What the…”
        Kazuya:”Hotter then your girlfriend,right son?”

  • Tiger Jackson? Tekken 3? I thought it was an Eddie alt costume. :/

    • He was. But now we have confirmation of the two being two different people, as well. For long, it was thought that Tiger Jackson was an alter-ego of Eddie Gordo. And now we know’s he’s not. :)

      That makes THREE Capoeira-fighters in a single TEKKEN-game, though…

      • No kidding…

I’m all for seeing two or three characters with the same style, but it’s inconvenient if they don’t have a unique variation of that style. There’s a reason why characters like Angel and Ogre are fairly unique despite using a familiar fighting style. All you have to do is give Tiger’s Capoeira a more disco variation and that’s all it takes.

        • That’s exactly what they’re doing.

        • Guest

Especially since the motion capture for them is so old now…done by Mestre (Master) Marcelo of Capoeira Mandiga way back in 1999 for Tekken 3….

I mean the art style of Capoeira is so diverse. Even a cheap PC game as Martial Arts: Capoeira shows more diversity

  • Kitestwinblades

Well, That just about makes this an OFFICIAL Tekken Tag 2… and them some!
    You spoil us Harada lol

I’m curious to see what Alex customizations will be like. He doesn’t have the a baby on him like Roger Jr. but that’s never stopped them from thinking outside of the box. Probably a giant Gon head XD

I’m glad Forest and Tiger is back. They pretty much played the same as their counterparts before so I cant wait to see whats different- even if it’s just movement or something. Faster flips and more dance moves, perhaps? :3

  • MrJechgo

That’s cool and all… but are they DLC characters, like the other 4 or will they be included as regular characters ?

  • This character roster is MASSIVE. And I couldn’t be more glad about it! I kind of figured that Forest would never come back, but apparently I was wrong.

  • Ladius

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 seems to be the meatiest game in the whole franchise, I’m not a big Tekken fan but I’m really looking forward to it.

  • Oh Harada you certainly know how to please fans don’t you.
