Learn Skills On The Fly In Ys Celceta, Just Like Romancing SaGa

When Adol is fighting a formable enemy he may get a flash of insight and learn a new attack. That’s one of the gameplay systems in Ys Celceta: Sea of Trees, which is kind of like how characters learn new attacks in Romancing SaGa or SaGa Frontier.

There are three kinds of attacks in Ys Celceta – slashes (Adol), long range (Cama), and strike (Dulen).

Ys Celceta has more playable characters like Ozma who can create a gigantic bubble that damages enemies and Griselda who can whack enemies with Gold Maker, an attack that makes enemies drop more gold.

When and Cost, that’s all I’m caring about at this point because I need to know how much money to toss at my screen at exactly what time.

You could look for “Celceta” at AmiAmi.  It is currently slated for September.

While expanding Ys series with more characters and all is good, I’m not happy about it.
I liked(and like it now) Ys as a one-man game. When they made character-switch in Ys Seven, I was happy, well, that is, for 15 minutes. After that – I got sick of it. In the end, I judged Ys Seven to be the weakest in the series, since it was unexpectedly boring(still finished it, though) in terms of gameplay.
Adol is the only playable character the series needs, IMO.

      Different opinions man.

I’m in the same boat as far as preferring the old style of game, but functionally switching characters out in Seven was the same as swapping swords/bracelets in the previous 3D Ys games.

I stopped reading after this statement. SaGa Frontier is one of my all time favorite games. EVER! So, I kind of need this game now. I’ll get a Vita if it means it headed this way.
