I believe this is the same trailer they showed at E3.

It still looks amazing though. It’s like the answer to ‘What can spark more interest in JRPGs?’ in video game form.

They changed to song to English. It’s surprisingly hard to tell the difference since an 8 year choir boy is singing it regardless.

And it actually sounds good either way, color me surprised!  This is only the third game I’ve ever seen to have a translated song come out good.  The first being the Kingdom Hearts Hikari-Simple and Clean, and Passion-Sanctuary conversions, and then the second being Tales of Vesperia’s Kane o Narashite- Ring a Bell conversion. So A+ to Level 5 for getting that right :D

I can’t even find the words to describe how excited I am for this game.

Here’s hoping America and Europe provide this game with the sales it deserves

If they don’t I officially lose all faith in humanity…

      • Anime10121

Well prepare to lose faith, while I am unbelievably hyped (and already have it preordered), the cynic in me see’s the west destroying this game for it’s gameplay (which from japanese reviews if I remember right isnt all that great), too much color/too kiddie look, and for it being in a genre that hasnt been to respected this gen in the west.  Once the game “critics” pan it (remember to many, not getting higher than an 8 in reviews is an automatic fail), you’ll see people going from DAY ONE!!1! to, I’ll wait for a price drop, or I’ll wait to get it used cheap.

I do hope this scenario doesnt actually happen, but I’ve seen it far too many times this gen for me not to have low expectations :(

I feel sorry for Level-5, you can tell just how much has been put into this game from a single screenshot, coupled with how time travellers did things aren’t looking well

        • http://profile.yahoo.com/AC7FOQ5NHZ7CWXUU2LQKWG743Y Shiromokuba*

If I remember right they said the game was made with children in mind in the first place, so it seems wrong to say it has too kiddie a look, or too much color, or it’s too easy or something.

          • Anime10121

Even if that is true, that wont stop “journalists/reviewers” from tearing it down for being just that.  They’ll just come up with an excuse saying that a game this big and with this much depth can not be for kids and thus score it like they would any other JRPG (very harshly), all the while, the next Bethseda game will come out, be riddled with bugs (be it the Elder Scrolls or Fallout), and be the best thing since Timmy got his Nintendo 64 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pFlcqWQVVuU .

    Aww 2013 seem so far…

    • Sweet Sui ♥

The game’s looking like it’ll be worth the wait, so we just need to be patient… just hoping the world doesn’t end at the end of this year…

If the world does end before I get to play this, I’ll be one pissed off girl… dead, but still massively pissed off DX LOL

Man, the animation is incredible. Also really liking the localization thus far!

While Level 5′s games generally leave me cold, I don’t think I’ll be able to pass this up.

C’mooooon Level-5. Start making your mark here in America. Professor Layton ain’t gonna cut it alone. Maybe you should try – oh I don’t know – the Inazuma Eleven 3DS compilation game!

    • LynxAmali

       Or Cardboard Gundams.

      I mean, Little Battlers.

Grah! Force of habit I say!

  • Joseph Santee

Guys, I desperately NEED this game. The music and visuals in the trailer actually made me shed a tear. Also, the story does too, but that’s for a different reason.

Speaking of music, this game has the best World Map theme EVER.

Also, the fact that they translated the main theme to english is crazy awesome, too.

Yezzir! Still looks and sounds amazing. Nice one Level-5 ^_^

  • Cameron Ward

bleh…i have seen this trailer before its the E3 trailer…

  • Darkrise

That song in the background actually sounds pretty great in English too.

So, how does one do battle in this game? >__>

I’m a bit annoyed with Namco Bandai in regards to the availability of the Wizard’s edition. It’s simple, people outside the US want it too. They can’t order from the Namco Bandai shop because they only ship within the US. Then there’s the PAL Wizard’s edition. It’s still a pain because most UK based retailers have only a select few countries they can ship to. Then you have Ebay. Add the jacked up prices and the shipping and import fee’s…well you’re paying a bit too much. Sigh. I’m pretty much screwed because I really want that Wizard’s edition. This game better fill me up with joy and magical whimsy to counter the bitterness I feel right now.

  • AStupidHomo

Easily my most anticipated game of 2013 (Technically 2012 but the date got pushed back) I’ve been dying to get my hands on this sure-to-be masterpiece.

  • Zoozbuh

They dubbed the song?!! Aufhkgjfgijgrfc… *loves the localization team even more* … SO freakin tempted to get the Wizards Edition of this. I really hope it sells well in the US and UK. And Ghibli seems quite popular here (even amongst “normal” people xD) so hopefully it will! A few TV adverts wouldn’t hurt though!?

    • Steven Lamphere

If you preorder the Wizards edition before the end of this month you not only get what is in the Wizards edition but also a set of 5 ni no kuni prints, plus if enough people preorder we’d also get an actual physical gold coin to go with it.

      • puchinri

Whoa! For serious? Where did this info come from? @v@

  • http://www.facebook.com/stale.laastad Ståle Laastad

Ghibli..Level 5…No need to see the trailer, its the must of 2013.

  • http://www.facebook.com/cbosak1 Christopher A. Bosak

I want to buy the Wizard’s Edition but don’t have the money so i’m pre-ordering at Gamestop instead.

    • AJ

Namco Bandai refuses to ship to Canada.

I mean, the customer still has to pay shipping and tariffs. It’s just so difficult to fill out the shipping label for Canada, what with “provinces” and “”postal codes” and all that. Might as well be in Chinese!

……But seriously, screw you Bamco Namdai.

  • puchinri

The only voice that’s disappointing to me so far is Shizuku’s, since it doesn’t feel fitting at all.

    But so excited~! ♥
I can’t wait for mine to come! . . .Err . . .early next year and all.
