Monster Hunter, Mario, And Miku Mingle In New Taiko: Drum Master

Namco Bandai is going all out for Taiko no Tatsujin: Super Splendid Edition. The upcoming Wii game has 100 songs including themes from Monster Hunter Tri G, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Dragon Quest X, and a song from Hatsune Miku.

Taiko no Tatsujin: Super Splendid Edition also has Jpop tracks like "Manatsu no Sounds Good" and "Heavy Rotation" from AKB48. "Let’s Go! Phantom Girl Thieves Z" from Momoiro Clover Z and "Linda Linda" from The Blue Hearts.

Taiko no Tatsujin: Super Splendid Edition is the fifth Taiko game for Wii. Before that, Namco Bandai released a bunch of Taiko games for PlayStation 2. I wonder which home console will get Taiko: Drum Master next…

I’m going to guess and go for Wii U as the next platform.

    • Taiko Wii U which supports the Wii Drum and Bayonetta 2 = Wii U purchase.

just for curiosities sake… i can play these games without the drum?? because i played one of the first ones in wii, and it was really fun, i still remember it had the kamen rider kiva song, the ds one had the go-onger song XD.

    • As far as I know, the Wii version of the games won’t even let you go to menu screen without the drum. Not sure about PS2 version though.

I see Tiger and Bunny there.^_^ Well considering the anime and game is almost 100% supported by Bamco, i should not be suprised here.^_^

Time to use my Jpn Wii here to play with all my friends again here.^_^

  • It would be nice if they let us listen to the songs instead of cutesy talking.

Man, Namco Bandai should capitalize on self-promotion.

So far, even DBZ has more songs than SRW, Summon Night, and Ar tonelico combined!  And we’re talking about the entire Taiko on Tatsujin franchise.
