Valhalla Knights 3 Screenshots Give A Glimpse Of Battles And Town

By Ishaan . October 1, 2012 . 10:30am

Valhalla Knights 3, headed to the Vita next year, has 7-on-7 battles, and Marvelous AQL have erected an official website for the game, along with the first screenshots showing off the in-game visuals and a couple of battle scenes.

Valhalla Knights 3 also introduces a new feature by which you can develop a relationship with the women running the guild and shops in the game. Fulfilling requests will lead to you strengthening your relationship, and a better relationship means some sort of “special services”.

Marvelous AQL will release Valhalla Knights 3 in early 2013.

I seriously hope this game ends up good, i played VK2 and for the love of god hated it, and i love games like that. It had great potential but it felt way, way too unpolished, even more than MHF1.

Three games in the series and I’m constantly hearing that all of them are bad.  Makes you wonder why the developer doesn’t create a brand new IP with entirely new gameplay.

Even if this one is good, the name alone will deter sales.

I can’t understand where they seem to get the idea that the series is loved enough for them to make a fourth one..

        • Syn

Doubled sales over a previous entry can do that. Also, the game seems has potential, almost anyone who has played can see that, it just needs to be refined and perfected and we have a great game right there. I personally hope they get this one right cos in terms of looks(as far as the screens go), it looks solid.

While I agree on the games themselves not being particularly enticing, the second PSP game actually doubled the sales of the first one, and even if the Wii one was a failure the PSP fanbase barely noticed its existence (it wasn’t even a numbered entry).

  • Whoomp

Ugh, so uninspired, flat and dull looking. And what is up with the Street Fighter-esque presentation of the characters, doesn’t mesh with anything else artistically at all.

    • Blesmi

But it’s the cool thing to do!

The artwork reminds me of how Blade & Soul classes are portrayed for some reason.

i wish there is a korean made MMO game for the VITA like BnS or Vindictus or maybe TERA tee-hee ^_^

LOL omg. when i saw those character presentation. B&S DEFINITELY clicked in my head too!

  • CycloneFox

Looks pretty good and is exactly the kind of game, the vita needs.^^

Is it me or does this seem to be the pet project of some higher up/investor who has no idea what he’s/she’s doing, i mean i highly doubt (As in i have no data) the first game broke even.

    • Ladius

The LTD sales of the Valhalla PSP games were surprisingly solid, with the first one at 64k and the second at 120k (including the revised edition). The only flop so far has been the Wii entry, which sold only 11k.

None of those games have been critically acclaimed or have a vocal fanbase, but the series has hardly been a failure.

is this game kinda like MMORPG? where people get on online and fight enimes  together on their jouney?

“you can develop a relationship with the women running the guild and shops in the game. Fulfilling requests will lead to you strengthening your relationship, and a better relationship means some sort of “special services”.”

….me gusta. I need to know more about these services.

  • Draparde

Hm. it actually looks pretty good, graphic-wise. compared to the others. which i was not expecting.

just need to hear more about gameplay elements/classes and if there’s multiplayer.

Never played VK 1 or 2 before. How is the game? Is it good?

    • Syn

Well the games were not particularly exceptional, but they showed potential and direction, if the makers have learnt from their previous games and matured even further, this is likely to be a really good game. Also the games are known for their high difficulty.

       I agree with Daniel.S

The first two (actually i think there is 3 separate games, the last being like a “best” version with some tweaks).

They had a good concept, the execution wasn’t there… I hope they refine this one. It could be a great game.
