No More Heroes: World Ranker Is Looking For New Assassins On iOS

By Spencer . October 30, 2012 . 1:48am

nmhwr1No More Heroes has a social game spinoff in Japan called No More Heroes: World Ranker. You start the game by creating an assassin by picking your gender, clothes, and weapons. Then you can complete missions, level up, and get better gear to kill other players. The goal of No More Heroes: World Ranker is to be the best assassin.

Goichi Suda, CEO of Grasshopper Manufacture, is the producer of No More Heroes: World Ranker. The game came out for Android a few weeks ago and now it’s on iOS too.

Like other social games, No More Heroes: World Ranker is free to play, but some virtual items cost real world money. You can grab it here:

Android Devices on Google Play

iOS Devices on iTunes

I grabbed the Android .apk a while back.
I expected to be spewing complaints by now, but it’s actually pretty fun.

Am i wrong or World Ranker dissapeared from Google Play???

  • FitzpatrickPhillips

Wow, never expected NMH to take this route.

As long as no one puts up a comment being pissed about this being in the place of No More Heroes 3 (it will take more than a bit for Suda51 to reach post-MML3 Capcom levels)or cheating us in some fashion.

Much like novels transitioned into movies prior and manga often transitioned into anime, video games are also making many moves, one of the new movements being the Smartphone demographic where it is cheap to keep a brand in the attention of the public and make some change on the side.

Have to admit I’d like to play this game, if only to see what the customization possibilities are: can I design something better looking than Suda’s own characters? It’s a cheap thrill, but a thrill nonetheless.

Just downloaded this, can’t wait to try and figure out what I’m doing through the Japanese…
