Is Ace Combat: Assault Horizon headed to PC? A rating filed by Namco Bandai in Korea suggests it is!

Ace Combat: Assault Horizon was released for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2011. Namco Bandai reported earlier this year that the game sold 1.07 million copies across the U.S., Japan and Europe. Assault Horizon has support for 8-on-8 online multiplayer dogfights, as well as an experience system for online modes.

    Y-Yay? ;-;

    Man, I loved this one on the PS3. I would buy it again if it comes to Steam

    (I’ve traded my copy, in case anyone asks why I would rebuy it)

    Out of all Ace Combat, they choose this one.T_T

  • It would be nice.  The series would probably find a decent sized audience on the PC.  I’m not a huge fan of Ace Combat myself, but the news makes me happy as it suggests the company is experimenting a bit more with bringing games to the platform.  Hopefully it’ll build over time, and we’ll see more and more Namco Bandai games making their way to the PC.

  • easily the worst in the series, why would they chose this one instead of ace combat 6 for example baffles me

       Because Ace combat 6 story was just as dumb as this one? Then again no Ace combat ever made sense but 6 takes the cake I mean we all want to hear ‘dance with the angels’ the whole game.

        Aside from 2, all the Ace Combat games have made perfect sense. While I didn’t like Dance with the Angels, I actually liked people which is much more than I can say for Assault Horizon.

      •  I only sayd the 6º because the graphics are good enough for a almost straight  port, it could have been any of the old ones, anything is better than AH garbage

       Ace Combat 5 and The Belken War (which is prequel to 5) was probably the best along with AC 4… The Silent Protagnist and the story was amazing…

  • Bloodios

    *Sigh* I would rather they work on a new Ace Combat instead…  One that has a silent protagonist and a single-player campaign that doesn’t feel like it came right out of Call of Duty‘s formula… But I guess the new (and in my opinion, unappealing) formula sells so they want to rake in more cash by porting it to the PC. At least I hope this version utilizes DX11 and includes a significantly higher quality texture pack.

      My god…I want to shoot myself since I read this.

    If all the things from Bandai Namco I’d love to see on the PC, this certainly isn’t high on the list.

    But it’s better than nothing. Good to see Namco caring about the platform for once. I wasn’t expecting to see much else after Dark Souls sort of broke them in. I’m pleasantly surprised to see that wasn’t that last of it.

  • Tianyu Wei

    This was possibly the worst AC i’ve played to date… I wish they return to their amazing AC 4 / 5 / Zero… Those had tear jerking stories, and I am usually indifferent to military tragedies….
