By Spencer . November 28, 2012 . 2:30pm

Remember Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme Vs.? Namco Bandai brought the arcade game home almost one year ago when they released it for PlayStation 3. It’s coming back to stores on December 13 when Namco Bandai ships a budget friendly "Best" version. Basically, it’s a "Greatest Hits" re-release with a giant yellow stripe and first print copies include a code for energy capsules for Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation.

Namco Bandai is also releasing new mecha from Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme Vs. Full Boost as downloadable content on December 13.

GP03 Gundam – 500 yen ($6)

gundex5 gundex1 gundex2

Ξ Gundam – 500 yen ($6)

gundex6 gundex3 gundex4

This is the fourth wave of downloadable content for Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme Vs. The first three packs are available for 2,000 yen ($24).

So the Full Boost characters will be released as DLC, not as a whole new console game release am I right?

    • ZEROthefirst

I wish, but nope, we’re going to have to wait for Full Boost to be ported to the PS3 before we can do anything.

    • Brion Valkerion

most likely a teaser for the next game. They are still releasing characters for the Arcade version every month.

xi gundam! one of my favourite suit!

  • eilegz

    sigh very expensive dlc :/

    • ZEROthefirst

Look on the bright side, it is somewhat pricey DLC, but at least all of the DLC for the game isn’t already on the disc so they can make some quick money.

  • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

Well GP03 is not entirly new MS as it had been released on GvG on PSP. Xi Gundam on the other hand is totally a new MS.^__^

  • thunderbreak

GP stands for Gundam Prototype, why would you call it GP03 Gundam lol? It’s like saying American born American, it’s weird.

    • Budgiecat

      Japan does that a lot.

“Legend of Legendary Heroes” for example.

    • Godmars

Could have to do with the RX-78 being a prototype which gain massive notoriety for lasting throughout the war. Spawning its own production line or class.

That or the three – four? – units in were early concept versions of the RX-78 which were revived and made after the One Year War, only to be erased from all records after Stardust.

    • LynxAmali

Because they’re referred to as Gundam Unit 01 and Gundam Unit 02 in 0083?

    YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

I hope Impulse will be in that december 13 DLC….that’s literally the only one I really really really wan…need..

    • ZEROthefirst

Xi and GP03 are the only DLC units coming on the 13th and are probably the last DLC units for the game for a while. Impluse is in Full Boost, so until they port FB to the PS3 we probably won’t get any more units for a while (I really want to get Strike Noir as a DLC unit).

Yeah I guess I got confused with the wording of the article, oh well.

  • Zero Shift

Wow, a suit from Hathaway’s Flash made it in? That’s awesome. I really hope they throw in Penelope Gundam to have a rival suit for the Xi Gundam.

Wow digging the gundam love in this thread. It would be awesome if they made sandrock gundam available. I’ve been holding off on this one though. I’m sure they will make the new arcade on for ps3 eventually. It needs 4 player split screen.

You accidentally tagged ‘Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme VS Full Boost’. Was wondering for a moment why you could get DLC for an arcade game. XD

  • Shogunreaper

Eh… I wish they released extreme vs on psp :s
