Here’s Namco Bandai’s Flight Action RPG

By Spencer . December 13, 2012 . 4:30am

Macross 30: The Voice that Connects the Galaxy from Namco Bandai isn’t just another mecha vs. mecha game. Artdink turned the series into a "flight action RPG" says Namco Bandai.

Macross 30 has an original story with characters from different Macross series. New anime scenes were also made for the PlayStation 3 game.

Macross 30: The Voice that Connects the Galaxy is scheduled to come out on February 28, 2013.

This looks pretty awesome. And I’m not even a mech fan.

  • TrevHead

dammit that looks good, shame it’ll probably never make it outside Japan

  • Go2hell66

take out the mechs and put in Izayoi then i’ll pick it up day 1

    • is izayoi that popular or something?

      • Go2hell66

nah just she kind of looks like a gundam :3

        • she does? uhm..uh…no.

        • LynxAmali

What do Valkryies have to do with Gundams, aside from being giant robots?

Must get the Limited Edition! Look at price O_o… oh god… let’s save money… Died X#X

But what about the timeline? What about the paradoxes? WHAT ABOUT CONSIS-on second thought I don’t think I care. There will be love triangles, planes, missiles and singing in great amounts. Deliver that, and I think fans will be happy.

  • I am going to marathon the anime series; the game is looking good.

  • ddh819

i wonder how playable it will be without being able to read it

    • neocatzon

Agree, Artdink always getting better everytime and this one is a good collectible but the language barrier (and Japan price) is a hard consideration.

      • WFoong

Hehe, you know… in Macross Triangle Frontier, they wrote “Sucdess” not “Success”XD

  • eilegz

any hope to get this game localized? :/

      The reflection in your mirror???

  • MrTyrant

Looks cool but I am not a fan of Macross so probably won’t enjoy this much. Like that you have every character from the Macross universe and some originals with story and I also like the RPG system in the action game.

I hope to see a Gundam or another mech game like this.

      try the another’s century series

      • MrTyrant

I know them but they are not the same.

Preordered the Box a few days ago. I was kind of surprised that it wasn’t as expensive as I thought it’d be (at least on amiami). Shipping is going to be a complete B though. Pretty hyped about this game. Never played the others, but it looks like this won’t be a glorified demo like the other PS3 ones.

  • Macross you say!? I love the Macross franchise! But since it’s based on the Macross franchise, that means it won’t make its way to Japan. T_T

  • Eilanzer

    fanservice = ok

story = almost certain a meh…a bunch of characters from different macross series put together is just strange…
