So the new characters are DLC? :/ Then what’s new with the game itself?

    • Kevin Tan

Nothing apparently. The game is supposed to be the same as the Wii version. At least Vita owners will experience the same quality game as the excellent Wii version (in portable form!)

      • Elvick

        ):

I mean, playing on the OLED screen and being portable is enough for me to be happy, but still. It’s not like I’m against new stuff. xP

That is, if it comes here.

        • TheDarkEmpress

This surprises me because upon official release of the Wii version they even admitted that some content was cut to make the release timeframe and/or budget constraints. If you look you will find that info. You’d imagine the devs would want to complete their original vision…Oh well, I hope that they’re currently dedicating their time and resources to Dragon’s Crown which looks purely awesome. I’ve had it on pre-order for like 2 years ;P

          • MisterFoxInc

See, now they make it up to the consumers to complete their dream-vision. How ’bout that!

  • Raoni Marques

I really hope it comes out in the west, specially with the new content! I don’t care if it’s paid or not, shut up and take my money!!
On a side note, the game will probably look gorgeous on Vita’s OLED screen. Now they just need to make Odin Sphere playable on Vita!

    • Peeka Chu

They already leaked it on the “games for the Vita you’re most excited for” poll on the official PS Blog, before redacting and fixing the list. I’d say XSEED and summer of 2013, if I had to peg it.

      • Raoni Marques

Wow, that’s some really great news. Summer would be a great time to get the game, and I to have finished Tales of Xillia by then (give us a damn release date, Namco!)

      • Shadow_Raskolnik

If it’s XSEED I hope they also give it a physical release.

    This one looked so beautiful:

I hope there’s bigger resolution for this soon. It looked so good as a wallpaper.

Dem thighs on Momohime. I see Vanillaware has been looking at fan art.

      • https://twitter.com/A_Beast_of_Prey Equinox K

Actually her thighs has always been…sizable. Those be child bearing hips son!

  • Haseyo

At least this game requires absolutely no knowledge of Japanese to play, unless you really care about the story.

  • MisterFoxInc

I got to admit I’m rather sour over the DLC-thing and I just know that
each one of them will be sold seperately. I just hope it’s not going to
be… TOO much. Because I’d hate to pay 40 bucks for a game I already played and another 4 x $5 = $20 for the DLC. It’s not like I’m entitled to that new stuff just because I played the game already and hell, it would be great even without any further addition. But maaaan.

    • Tien Ron

you must like the idea of people working their butts off to give you free content….they have to pay bills to you know

      • Aoshi00

I would’ve much preferred the new DLC contents to be included w/ this re-release, even if it’s 2000 yen more (right now the game is 5000 yen). I assume each chapter is about 500 yen or so, but it’s really expensive to get Jpn PS cards, plus I won’t be able to play these on my US account.. if these new scenarios are finished alrdy, they might as well charged more and released everything in one package. This is the only thing holding me back getting this.. also I’m not really sure how comfortable it is to play this frantic action game on the Vita btns, even though the OLED would no doubt look great.. if this were on PS3 there wouldn’t be such DLC problem..

      • MisterFoxInc

Absolutely not denying that, but so do I. And although this new content, if each story is as vast as these of Momohime and Kisuke (which is not guaranteed), would be amazing, I’m also thinking of developers who re-released their games with added content without the use of DLC. Take Persona 3, which came as FES with an additional full-fledged, shorter story, and a PSP-Port that featured an additional characters and a few new Social Links, along with some neat details. Persona 4 did something similar, too.

I know this is comparing apples and oranges and like I said, I’m not entitled to free stuff for any reason. Everyone is free to charge for their work as they see fit and I can get behind that. I don’t HAVE to buy it if I don’t want to, I get it. I’m just thinking, you know?

      • Elvick

It would hardly be “free” when you’re buying the game. And for some, that would mean buying the game a second time.

  • Zonic505

Rather pleased by the fact that the characters are bundled together. Now let’s hope that the price is right….& that this comes to the US.

  • Tianyu Wei

i thought the DLC would be free on the VITA version…?

  • Hinataharem

I really hope pricing is fair, I really love this game and the DLC looks promising.

  • AnimusVox

    Xseed…ATLUS…Sony….Someone….Pleeeeeaaaase localize this.

Fox-girls AND cat-girls? I have to own this.

  • Leonard Norwood Jr.

Seeing as I don’t have a Vita. this means I’ll miss out on this game until I get one. After playing the Wii version. I was already glad that I had another chance to play and beat one heck of a game from Vanillaware. There’s was something about the gameplay and music that made me love it. I’m just freaking glad I bought the game well worth playing. Unfortunately until I get the Vita, I’ll be missing out on another chance to relive those experiences and play the new DLC stuff they got.

  • MediaMindControl

more vita food. nom nom nom

  • Go2hell66

maining the girl with no pants

  • MrSirFeatherFang

used games that much of a problem in japan? I don’t recall. I might think reverse importation might be more of a problem lol

  • FitzpatrickPhillips

Kind of an arrogant approach. You don’t always know why the content was cut. In the case of Vampire the Masquerade or Alice Madness Returns, the publisher forced the devs to do it in order to meet a specific time frame. Both games suffered heavily in the sales department because of it.

  • Luna Kazemaru

once again your post can make a person brain hurt.

  • http://www.siliconera.com/ Ishaan

I thought this would have been painfully obvious, but piracy talk is not encouraged on here. Consider this a warning, please.

  • Luna Kazemaru

No don’t even pay any mind to that..
