Shirma is ready to conquer the twelve worlds of the galaxy in Mugen Souls Z, even if it means having to stop a certain ‘something’ from awakening. Here’s a further look at the story.

Long ago, there was a god called the ‘Ultimate God’. After creating a galaxy consisting of twelve worlds connected together as a constellation, the Ultimate God was split into twelve parts, each one to rule a planet.

The story starts with the previous main character, Chou-Chou, who took the first step at an attempt to conquer the entire galaxy. During that time, a certain ‘something’ that once tried to destroy that same galaxy, was awakening.

As a part of the Ultimate God, Shirma plans on gathering the strengths of all the other gods, in order to prevent that ‘something’ from awakening and sealing it, once again. Just as she takes the first step of her journey, she encounters another Ultimate God, Chou-Chou.

Shirma is an "ultimate god" class character that awoke from a long sleep.  Aside from her name and her class, most of her memories from the past are lost. That giant coffin she carries around is actually her bed!

Nao is a hero in training in search of a legendary weapon so she can become a true hero. While on her journey, Nao discovers Shirma waking up. Ace is an "ultimate god hunter", a mysterious lad that aims to take Shirma’s life. He’s a rough character that shows up with his wyvern and blocks Shirma.

Already this is looking and sounding amazing. Day 1 here for me just like the first Mugen Souls =^_^=

    Ultimate Gods, Ultimate Gods everywhere!!!

I’m really hoping Nisa won’t give up on this series. sure the first had problem and it was half localized, but the series has potential.i love the Customization in the first Mugen Souls. it can only get better from then right? :) Regardless of their infamy, Compile hearts is known for making the subsequent entries of one of their series better than the last one. at least from what i know.

    • Ladius

I know some people resent NISA for removing the fanservice minigame, but saying that Mugen Souls was “half localized” is quite the hyperbole.

That said, I agree with the rest of your post and hope they’re able to improve MS2 just as they did with Neptunia Mk2.

      • Raharu95

My comment about it being half localized is not about the hot spring censorship. I’m one of those that did not mind that change, honestly XP. what I’m somewhat bitter about is the fact that NISA was unable to dub the peon voices.that’s about 1/3 of customization gone in the dub.

        • Ladius

Oh, I’m sorry I read too much into your previous post, there were so many debates about that issue that I immediately assumed you were referencing that :) I’m also one of the few who agreed with that minigame’s removal, btw :P

          • Raharu95

Let’s be friends then ^_^. AndI understand. That issue surely was controversial. I’m not sure which side to believe myself, but I’m one of those in the middle of it all. At least the game is good, if a bit rough around the edges.

Edit: It seems Mugen Souls did not sold very well… there is still Limited Editions Stocks left on the Nisa Store.

  • LETS PRAY FOR LOCALIZATION

can’t wait for this, though that trailer on gematsu was wtf lol.

  • Draparde

Sounds like i’ll be buying this one as well~. i hope the customization is even deeper than before!

  • Learii

i wounder who the main char in this one Chou-Chou again or Shirma

  • zferolie

I really tried to get into the last one, but it was very difficult. The system confused me, or didn’t work, and that was what stopped me. I wanted to enjoy it, I really did…

Pro Tip: Take Chou-Chou out of your party

Game becomes way better like that

    • Hating Ass Nigga

You shouldn’t have to force yourself to like garbage.

      • Luna Kazemaru

        kid grow up.

You’ve already been asked to quit the blind negativity. If you have concerns with a game, give us reasons why.

  • Koine Nacu

It should be noted that Chou Chou lost her energy somehow, giving reason as to why she became small. The “Chou Chou energy” mechanic is likely giving her energy back so she can be big (note the 2nd and 4th screenshots, It shows Chou Chou on the corner of the screen, replacing the peon ball of the 1st game and, just like the first game, the more energy Chou Chou gets, the bigger she gets.)

Also, the new video translate’s Shirma’s name to “Syrma”

DAY ONE! if it gets localized!

  • puchinri

Nao and Ace have some pretty slick designs. I’m going to need to pick up the first game sooner than expected. Hopefully this will also be localized~.

For the Ultimate God I expected a chick like her to be more BUSTY. OH well.

Damn, I have so many things to import this year already…

  • Göran Isacson

So is it a plot twist in the other game that the protagonist there is part of the Ultimate God? Because I don’t recall ever reading that in the previews for it.

  • M’iau M’iaut

    And with that. Banned.
