Fantasy Life To See Large Content Update This Year

By Ishaan . February 3, 2013 . 11:00am

Fantasy Life is doing well for Level 5 and they have plans to keep it going as a new Level 5 series in the future. In the meantime, however, the first game is going to see a large DLC content update sometime this year.

The content update will add new quests and the ability to play with other people over the Internet. Additionally, Level 5 say they’re making changes to the game world and  unlocking the game’s level cap as well.

A price and release date for the update haven’t been announced yet, but Level 5 do say they have plans to distribute further DLC to players who purchase this content update.

  • they should ADD to the parts of the WORLD in which this game is available for purchase

So has an OST been released yet? I’m anxious to hear all of the ending songs.

    So they will add online.

Could this help the chances of a localization of this game?

I mean, even if this game is a level-5 ip, it was developed by brownie brown (or 1-up studio), a studio very close to nintendo, and we have heard that nintendo plans to improve the 3DS situation on the west by helping on the localization of some japanese titles, also, the lack of online is not a problem in Japan, but in the west certainly would be very useful to have online on this game. Maybe I’m getting my hopes high with no reason, but I really hope that this title gets localized to the rest of the world.

If they ever do plan on localizing it, don’t expect it for a few years. There’s so much to take into consideration with games such as this. This game also has a buttload of songs sung in Japanese. If it follows the Level-5 trend, then they’ll have to dub all those different songs too. Let’s just hope Nintendo was really serious when they said they were going to help developers.

Level-5 is such a good company and so out of reach sometimes…

I’m really glad they managed to bring Ni no Kuni in the west unlike the DS version, which ironically I picked in these days just because I want to see how much it went under upgrades while preparing itself to enchant people on PS3.

Fantasy Life, along with Time Travelers, it’s something I really want to see in USA/PAL territories: expecially the first one, I wonder how much would it sell.

Is there romance/marriage in this series out of curiosity? I mean not to sound cliche but ‘life’ does include that. Maybe that’s going to be part of the dlc?

  • Just the kind of news I needed after clearing the game. This game is totally worth it!

If this ever gets localized, I hope that they include the updates in the cart.

still no word English localized!?! sad face!

Really happy that finally Level-5 find some kind of success here. After the disaster release on Time Travellers(Which is a nice game.T_T), Cinderella Rpg(Another nice game with great cameos)
Finally, Inazuma Eleven Chrono Stone 2 and this is giving them some success.^_^
