Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity Will Have Free Launch DLC

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity is headed to North America next month, and Nintendo of America have announced that they’ll be making downloadable content available for the game.

What kind of content? An example of DLC is the three dungeons Nintendo released for the game recently in Japan. Nintendo of America say that while DLC will be paid, the first piece of DLC—the Poké Forest Dungeon—will be free until April 30th.

One of the new features in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity is the ability to control two parties. You can learn more about that here. The game will be released on March 24th. A new trailer for the game can be viewed above.

Its not Shiren the Wanderer, but I think I’m going to play it anyway. Usually the end-game stuff in this series is a little more challenging. I hope they release some difficult dungeons DLC.

DLC and Nintendo? Hmm we will see how this fairs, mostly well since its Pokemon…

It’s interesting that Nintendo is slowly starting to figure out DLC. It’s my understanding that Fire Emblem has DLC, and I know that New Super Mario Bros. 2 had it. Nintendo has been conservative with it so far, so hopefully that means they will abuse the system less than other companies.

Here’s hoping the DLC is more Pokemon

If you are going to do Day-1 DLC, at least give it away for free.

…….also, be a game that’s been out for a while so the existence of DLC makes sense.

For the two new legendary pay 5 bucks! Hopefully that doesn’t ever happen

I don’t know… event legendaries are already kind of similar to that.
