Sega have erected a teaser website for a new Hatsune Miku project that will go live on April 18th.

Meanwhile, the Twitter account for Sega’s Hatsune Miku games says that we’ll find out what the new game is in this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine.

wait how do we know its for vita/3DS?

    • We don’t. Those tags are meant to accompany the Project Diva/Mirai tags. I should remove them, though. It might mislead people.

Crossing my fingers on a localization announcement!

    • This announcement is for Japan.

I know but I can still hope they say something about it in the article. Like if it was brought up in a question or such.

      Project Diva…. F?

  • Neppygear

Meanwhile, Sega remains dead-silent as usual on the overseas Diva F situation…

    • Pokahontas McGuigan

it didnt even get 25,000 likes on the fb page so i dont think they thought it was worth bringing over

      • Neppygear

It has just over 25k likes right now, though…

Project Mirai 2 with normal Miku would be cool

    • If it is a Project Mirai 2, I hope for Sega’s sake it’s a better game than the first one.

      • Was it bad? I’ve been wanting to import a Japanese 3DS mainly for that game because I love the Project Diva series and am a huge Nendroid collector.

        • It wasn’t bad, but going by what a friend who loves the Miku games says about it, it’s very limited in how it uses the 3DS. She was expecting loads of customization/Edit mode, StreetPass, SpotPass, sharing features like with other 3DS games, but it doesn’t really have any of that. She was incredibly let down by it. It does have a screenshot feature, which she liked a lot, though.

the character design is what turned me off of the first one

IMO Project Mirai has more to do with the character Models and game play mechanics that he platform. I think it’s entirely possible they could put Project Diva on the 3DS and still call it Project Diva.
In other words, I wouldn’t expect to see a game under the project Mirai title without the chibi characters models.

my guess is a new project diva for PSVita that will be released this year, the project diva series always have a new game out for PSP every year, making the transition to Vita last year
