imageNintendo announced a new entry in the Mario Party series for Nintendo 3DS. The upcoming Mario Party game has 81 mini-games and seven different game boards to play on.

Mario Party for 3DS uses the system’s cameras for AR card games. Players can also challenge others just by carrying their 3DS around through StreetPass battles. Mario Party 3DS also has a 30 floor tower climb.

Nintendo will release Mario Party in North America and Japan this winter.

I don’t think Street Pass was the option to go with. I hope there is at least online play like they did with Luigi Mansion.

    • Tincho Kudos

Yeah i know, i want online too but honestly I don’t think this game will benefit from it. I can see people rage quitting after 2 turns or being disconnected and so on

Get ready to lose friends on the go

Lololol. I can’t even imagine the fun of trolling others in the bus lol.^_^

  • Tails the Foxhound

Judging on the trailer, this is looking like a return to form for the series. I’m definitely getting this one.

  • JMaster3000

    Again Mod, add Europe too.

  • Sperium3000

    Please have download play…

  • DuskSharkEX

    Please have online play!

I had such a blast with Mario Party on the DS, for playing alone and with friends/family, so I’m looking forward to this a lot. ♥

This is freaking Mario Party, so I choose to believe that “winter” means they’re implementing online play. I cannot stress this enough, Nintendo, because sometimes you don’t get it: ONLINE MULTIPLAYER FOR MARIO PARTY 3DS.

I Used to love Mario party, but after Dokapon i just cant get into them for long anymore. (though it’s still fun to screw people over in both games.)

im probably just not into the mini-games the ones i played had (or at least the ones i got while we played) I’ve never played the handheld ones though. are they any diffrent than the console ones in gameplay?

I actually enjoyed the DS one more than the Wii one as far as gameplay, but I can’t say I remember it being much different really? I’m not entirely sure why I had more fun with it either.

      • Draparde

I see, i’ll probably look more into it then.

  • What Mario Party needs is online multiplayer. I

I don’t know if I like mario party on the go. I just can’t see it as one of those game but I’ll check it out. I’m still waiting on the wiiU version with online play.

I am happy that Nintendo have throw that Mario party 9?(With moving car together style)and return to the classic one here.
This style should be more fun to play rather than that last one on Wii.T_T
