By Spencer . April 19, 2013 . 3:15pm

Set for release next week, MapleStory: The Girl’s Fate is the first Nintendo 3DS game made South Korea. Nexon created a new story for this title which centers on a girl trying to release a spirit trapped in her body.

MapleStory: The Girl’s Fate is designed to be easy to play. You can do a chain of attacks by tapping A continuously. You can also learn skills to deal heavy damage, which will be useful when you’re fighting giant bears. The girl can also ride on a rock and roll over enemies.

All of the action takes place on the top screen. The bottom screen has a map with a rough layout of each area. In addition to the main story, MapleStory: The Girl’s Fate has a bunch of side quests to take on. Nintendo will publish the game on April 25.

So this is some kind of Metroidvania action game?
    Looks fun.But sadly Korea only

    • MapleStory in general was always like a Metroidvania, actually.

I got a feeling it’s not going to sell well outside Korea. Now that there are good titles coming out and released eg. MH 4, Pokemon X and Y, Fire Emblem etc. There’s plenty to consider before getting it.

Good thing it’s not coming out anywhere else then/

      • Erwin MadJelly

Well there are always people, especially the Asia Region, who wanna import it, or wishes for an English ver. We shall see along the game industry.
