Following its delay and multiplatform announcement, Rayman Legends has a new release date, Ubisoft have announced. The game will be available on August 27th in North America and August 30th in Europe.

Meanwhile, the Wii U-exclusive Rayman Legends Challenges application is now available for the Nintendo eShop. This is a free release that contains the Online Challenges mode of Rayman Legends. The Online Challenge mode includes:

  • A crazy run through the Land of the Livid Dead
  • Dizzying descent into the Neverending Pit
  • A fast and frantic sprint through the Infinite Tower
  • A synchronized adventure through Murfy’s Dungeon, a challenge dedicated to the Wii U GamePad where one player controls as Murfy on the touch screen while another controls one of the classic characters such as Rayman.

The demo will let you see and improve your “Awesomeness Level,” which can be increased by winning cups at the end of challenges and levels. The bigger the cup, the more points you earn. Awesomeness Level will let you unlock Daily and Weekly Extreme Challenges in the game.

Every time I see an article about this game it ALWAYS has an additional qualifier for WiiU. Lol ubi you are just reminding people how you screwed WiiU owners with your “But WiiU gets this little bonus YAY! Hear that WiiU owners? It’s not exclusive anymore but atleast you get this lame cheap freebie, YAY!!”

    • isfuturebright

Well since they already delayed the game and all, this is better then nothing I guess

I would say that the “screwing” part is the huge delay for an already finished game. Having a $350 system gathering dust is way more offensive than other people being able to enjoy the game too.

Well you have a point too, but my whole point was, Ubi you screwed WiiU fans, stop trying to make up for it with really teeny tiny bonuses. They aren’t ******** making me like you more. :)
