Solve The Mystery And Prove A Sherlock Holmes Wannabe Cheated On You To Win

cb_03_01The @Simple series is a throwback to D3Publisher’s experimental, budget game days with Simple Series PS2 games like The Zombies vs. Ambulance and The Mountain Climbing RPG. I have to commend D3 Publisher for making wacky games otherwise we wouldn’t have Earth Defense Force. We showed you a Zero Escape inspired @Simple game earlier this week. The Cheating Boyfriend: The Housekeeper Caught You Cheating At The Scene of the Crime is another, sillier @Simple title.

In this game, (which is actually the third title in the Cheating Boyfriend series) you find proof that your boyfriend is a cheater and then confront him by throwing items using the 3DS’ gyroscopic sensors. The boyfriends in this game include a chef that runs a fancy restaurant in the city. You fell for him after eating his delicious food and approached him for a date. But, today he stood you up and you start to wonder if you’re the only woman in his life. It’s time to get some evidence like a shirt with lipstick marks and throw it at him!

The game also has a taciturn tailor who had a rough upbringing and a husband that you catch cheating when you’re working as a housekeeper. Which brings us to Will who is an author from England who dresses like Sherlock Holmes. You get caught up in a mystery novel and start wondering if Will is hiding secrets. At first thinking about mysterious tricks was just for fun, but then you catch him cheating. Now you need to use those detective tricks you learned to send him packing while destroying his pride! D3 comes up with amusing characters like a lecherous gaijin.

ITs sad to know these games will likely never reach our shores. I’m sure many a woman would love to throw stuff at their exboyfriends.

  • Hollowkoopa

This Sherlock looks a lot like Robert Downey Jr………..I see what they did there.

    • Shane Guidaboni

Was thinking the exact same thing.

  • Lisa Fraulein

Animated Robert Downey Junior!? I’m sold!!!

    Oh… wait.. region lock. Damn

I want to play these Cheating Boyfriend games so bad. We just don’t make hilariously fun games like these in the west

Something about this games just doesn’t sit well with me, I am fine with the premise itself, but the fact that the possibility of them being innocent is not even mentioned, makes me think this is squarely for some depressed (and very bitter) women. It seems hilarious enough, but it is still just the other face of sexism.

First rule of harems, regular or reverse. It is always the guy’s fault.

We need “Cheating Girlfriend”, “Cheating Father” and “Cheating Mother” games now!

  • ronin4life

… there are 3 of these?

    If that’s the case, then I really hope the protaganist isn’t the same person in all three games… >.>;;

      I hope she get’s a happy ending eventually… >__>

But how could that Tailor guy cheat on anybody? I mean…look at him!

    • JustThisOne
