While 5pb might be known for visual novel style games such as Disorder 6 and their upcoming 3DS shooter gone virtual novel in Liberation Maiden Sin, their next title, Hero X Battle Princess will be a strategic world war game, where you play as a character from a fictional Japan, whose goal is to reunite the world.

Hero X Battle Princess is a world war strategy game, where all the heroes from different parts of the world are at war for the sake of being the supreme ruler. The main character is from a fictional Japan, called Jipangu, who’ll be scrambling her way through different parts of the world for the purpose of world unification. In order to achieve this, she’ll have to defeat powerful lords from various regions.

You’ll start out on the island of the East, Jipangu, where the main character will start out by unifying the lands, followed by the aim of world conquest. By increasing Jipangu’s domain, you’ll have access to more missions. Completing the missions will further enhance the military of Jipangu, allowing you take on tougher nations.

The more powerful your nation is, the more characters that will be joining your army. Each characters have their own abilities and attacks, which can be used to bolster the nation. In addition, these characters will all have their unique missions, which can be cleared to progress their stories and level up their stats.

Hero X Battle Princess is designed to have strategic depth, but it will also be easy for beginners to understand with its simple interface. The main focus will be how you’ll handle your characters along with their stat and story progressions. Deciding on a good mix of compatible characters, along with their attacks and abilities, will be a big part of the game’s customizable feature, on putting together the type of army you’ll be using to take over the world.

Hero X Battle Princess is slated to be released sometime this year for PlayStation 3.

  • Kotorin

Sweet, they got Nocchi on the art :>

  • Shizumasa

    Looks interesting. I’ll try that.

  • Matenshi

Whoa whoa whoa… the main character is actually female? From the title and image I was expecting it to be more freaking “male protagonist with a harem” crap.

Please tell me this isn’t an error. ~_~

    • CirnoTheStrongest

It’s an error. The main character is a guy

      • Matenshi

        Goddammit. Should have known. ><

Thanks for letting me know. :/

        • biskmater

So you were expecting a “girl with a harem?” that’s not terribly new either.

  • Everything is better with Princesses.

    • Pockystix

I guess the only way to make it even better, is if you played one too lol

Princess x Princess has a nice ring to it XD

  • fyi1191

Darn, the Egypt girl got censored.
I thought its going to be an English version for the PC until I saw “PS3”.
I bet King Arthur and “her” knights of the round are the best units in game.

  • Albel

Well, what should be noted, is that Eiyuu*Senki is a pc port and the game was developed by Tenko not 5pb, they simply act as a publisher for the ps3/vita versions^^

Also, there is a main male protagonist as well (not that it really matters for a non 18+ port) xD

    • r0gamer940

so what is the full name of the pc version so I could properly search for it? edit: found it

  • Reza Faliq

    Reminds me of Sengoku Rance

    • Shizumasa

      My thoughts exactly.

    • MrTyrant

It’s similar but Sengoku Rance and “Dai” series are better overall. The battles in this game were fun but you don’t have much development options or routes or different endings nothing like that eventually you begin to get bored after hours of playing it.

Is this Japan only, or can we expect a release in the EU as well?
Also, anyone know if it is possible to play JP games on the PS3, or any good go around. Tired of JP only stuff that we miss out on. :p

    • Shizumasa

Yes, it’s possible. The PS3 is region free, so you can import the JP version games and play it on your US or EU PS3. The DLC are region locked, so you have to buy them from a JP PS Store for a JP game.

      • $7573679

        Ah, thanks!

  • MrTyrant

King (queen Idol) Artur and Jeanne D’arc were lovely. Still lot of heroes were, we have female drake, female billy the kid, female napoleon, etc.

  • Nitraion

Third screen shot on the left… O-o

…… Is she going to battelefield like that…. That’s cheating..

    • MrTyrant

She was naked actually, in the pc version. Now got censored. I think she give buff by dancing I don’t remember well. The game was fine and fun to play.

  • WyattEpp

“Jipangu”? I don’t get the final vowel, to be honest. It looks and sounds really awkward. (I’d likely gloss that as “Zipang”)

Also, the schoolgirl with brown hair is Lancelot. The blushing very-long-haired blonde with the double buns and the mini crown is…

    …wait for it…

    …Arthur, of course.

  • Sergio Briceño

That one almost naked anime girl picture.

  • puchinri

    Hehe, I recognize that artist~.

Pretty interesting sounding game. I doubt I’d pick it up, but it sounds fun and I hope it does well.

    • MrTyrant

The same from Littlewitch novels isn’t he?

      • puchinri

        I believe so~.

    • biskmater

Yeah, to me this guy has the same problem as tony taka, except that instead of faces that look alike you get heads that all have the same exact shape.

      • puchinri

Haha, yeah. The art is charming, but it does lend itself to those particular “same-feature” styles especially. (At least in a distinct way~.)

    • Kelohmello

Tenko, the developer that made this game, is actually made up of members who were from Littlewitch, including the artist. Just thought I’d share that piece of info.

      • puchinri

        Makes sense~.

  • ChiffonCake

Oh, a PS3 port of Eiyuu Senki… the game was pretty fun, despite its shortcomings. It was pretty much Sengoku Rance with far more polished graphics and deeper gameplay, though I still think Rance had more… charisma, I guess? And also better h-scenes. The ones in this game were really underwhelming, when they were there (only some of the heroines had them. Imagine my disappointment upon finding out that Lu Bu didn’t)

…this does reminds me of how Tenko C&D’d the translation project, though. Damn.

    P.S. lol censoring Ashoka

  • Kelohmello

Woah, Eiyuu Senki getting a PS3 port? Huh… never expected this. It’s a really fun game with nice art though.

  • Barrit

Is this like a Romance of the Three Kingdoms type game?

  • Warboss Aohd

reaaaaaaaaaaal classy outfit dat female humie on da bottom right picture.
