Hidetaka “SWERY” Suehiro, the creator of Deadly Premonition, is working on an Xbox One exclusive title named D4. This is an episodic noir mystery that follows a detective with the ability to go back in time, which he uses to try and solve his wife’s murder, and then prevent it from happening at all.

Microsoft have not announced a release date for D4, but they did debut a trailer for the game earlier today, and you can watch it above.

Sounds like Shadow of Memories with all this time travel involved anyway it looks promising.

What up with all the Xbox One exclusives?

Deadly Premonition was a 360 exclusive too at first (could get ported to PS4 later too).. I like mutliplatform, but I really wouldn’t mind each system having its unique titles.. like 360 had Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, etc, that much more incentive to get the system.. I would wait this time though (getting both the PS3 at launch for $600 and 3DS at $250 was not the best decision)

The Cel shading looks pretty awesome like Killer is Dead..

That’s only partially true. Deadly Premonition came out on the same day for PS3 and 360 in Japan.

That’s true, I forgot “Red Seed Profile” was also on PS3 in Japan.. just that when I thought of the US title Deadly Premonition it was only on the 360, until the enhanced PS3 port now.. Still I really don’t mind each system having exclusives, PS4 has some, Xbox One has some, Wii U has some, so there’s reason to own all of them.

  • So, wait, what happened to D3? D1 was hilarious, and D2 was even more so…

This is honestly the closest thing to a system seller for me I’ve seen today. Swery’s fantastic!
