I thought Japanese Mewtwo was voiced by a male

    • karasuKumo

Perhaps it’s the voice of the new form. But that raises more questions than it answers haha.

    • Steven Higgins

Well, if he was, that was before Pokemon had genders. They probably when with a deep-voiced female this time to show that Mewtwo is genderless.

  • Spirit Macardi

I’d do anything for Dan Green to return to voice acting one more time just so he can play Mewtwo in English again… His deep, manly voice fit the character so incredibly well.

    • So would I. :( And in Smash 4 if Mewtwo’s back.

Seemingly he’s in InFamous Second Son as the cop, so he’s not out of the business yet. :)

      • Spirit Macardi

Last I heard he retired from the business, since New York’s voice acting scene is really struggling and what’s left doesn’t pay enough for him to sufficiently care for his two children.

        • Mike Pollock told me months ago via email that he’s just playing “hard to get”. Unless he officially retired afterwards…

      • Alexander Marquis Starkey

        Actually that is Patrick Seitz.

  • ShawnOtakuSomething

    This looks pretty good.

  • Kaihedgie

Looks great and all, but really? Again?

  • Andres Pena

is it me or does that voice really not fit mewtwo at all..

  • Raltrios

He sounds so much younger in Japanese…it’s a bit off-putting.

    • Kaitsu

They actually changed his voice actor. No clue why they did that.

      • AndyLC

Mewtwo is becoming more like Mew

      • Raltrios

Well, I never heard his old actor, either. Was he deeper?

  • riceisnice

Wait, where’s Ash? Did he finally retire?

    • AuraGuyChris

Because the anime has lost a lot of quality in the transition to the fifth gen, it’s become an even bigger marketing tool with the poorest episodes ever.
Real Answer: The writers are milking the hell out of Eevee so they put the champion of the Unova League (Virgil) as the main protagonist for this prologue because he just so happens to be another trainer who likes raising a bunch of Eeveelutions. That female Eevee is no doubt evolving into Sylveon.

    • SunOatBoatMatadorQuattro

Ash is immortal. He has had the same look for 15 years so the goverment won’t allow his retirement.

  • Renaldi Saputra

    No loser Ash/Satoshi?

  • Vash bane

did mewtwo just use extreme speed?

  • grevlinghore

    Mewtwo is female now? Wat.

  • artemisthemp

How long to this one is been Dub?

  • Chee Yang

Mewtwo vs Frieza. That’s what I want to see.
