By Ishaan . July 4, 2013 . 10:00pm

Good news for fans of visual novels with fantastic stories—Kara no Shoujo 2 is coming to the west. MangaGamer, who published the first game, announced that they’ve licensed the sequel at their panel at Anime Expo today.

Before they release Kara no Shoujo 2, however, MangaGamer will be releasing another of Innocent Grey’s titles—Cartagra, which takes place in the same world.

In case you need to get caught up, we’re way ahead of you—we’ve covered Kara no Shoujo 2 in a fair bit of detail, and you can catch up with our coverage here.

Funny how life works, I was arguing with M’iau M’iaut when he brought this one up, just a few days ago.

  • Raze

    Kara no Shoujo 2?

    Woohooo….

    And Cartagra looks good too…

  • http://watercrown.info/ Ryusui

Are the localizations of these any good?

    • JazzyMan123

It seems the translator of KnS is doing these two, so it should be!

  • JazzyMan123

Enjoy KnS2 folks, having played that one (with a Chinese translation), it was one hell of a ride.

But god damn the true end of KnS2 which made me go this: http://nooooooooooooooo.com/

    :(

And yeah, you do need Cartagra to fully enjoy KnS2 since some characters from there do show up in KnS2 and contribute to the plot.

    • Albel

      I feel ya, bro^^
But now it’s time to play the waiting game until Inoguro releases KnS3…

      • JazzyMan123

You read it too? KnS2 I mean. Then yeah, another cliffhanger ending…sigh, and here we go again.

        • Albel

          Yeah at release^^
3-4 days almost nonstop xD And then, I shed manly tears… :/
All in all, I don’t think KnS even needed a sequel, but it sold well so they probably decided to cash in.

I’m just wondering what they’ll do with the immense amount of characters xD

          • JazzyMan123

Your guess is as good as mine huh. lol

            And yeah, I agree, a sequel wasn’t really necessary in this case; though we all did want an conclusion to KnS and got it we did…manly tears bro, manly tears ;W;

Don’t forget that Kara no Shoujo is also getting a physical release finally…the rest of the games announced were essentially nukige although world economica by the Spice and Wolf creator might be good as well.

    • DyLaN

WEE seems pretty good judging by the vids I saw of it.

  • phangtom

Ah, sucks that they closed the Europe branch a while ago. Would’ve loved a physical copy. But I guess I can’t complain that much.

  • benhofb

Ugh… the pain of running Linux… added to the “games I want to play but probably never will” list.

Expect beautiful artwork with horrendously graphic and melancholic gore. I can’t wait!

What KnS 2… awesome.. although I never finish the first one (because I can’t stand what happen to my fav girl…) I know what happen in the end……. T^T

    • Ladius

Maybe you should edit your post, it’s kinda spoilery for those who haven’t already played KnS.

  • Zypharium

You are kidding, right? This is just great, man, I am so happy right now! I loved Kara no Shoujo, and now I can even read Cartagra, what I have wanted for years. I cannot wait for this. :)

I had been hoping for both of these titles, but didn’t actually expect them at all. I could not be happier about this!

Day one purchase on both. Psyched!

  • Albel

Cartagra shouldn’t be far off, since the translation of it was completed ages ago^^
One can only hope they’ll release the Nagomibako fandisc as well since it’s kinda needed for story purposes

Anyways, more uncensored cg’s, how nice :P

  • Ladius

This has to be one of the best announcements ever.

I love Innocent Grey, and now I can say I love Mangagamer, too: if I could I would embrace them and their silly nukiges I never bought, since they probably made it possible to gather the budget for those localizations.

But really, this is day one material, and I will gladly double dip if they make a physical release.

  • ChiffonCake

Yaaaaaaaay! Great job, Mangagamer! Heh, I guess it’s time to finish the first one now…

I also wonder if this means we might get Caucasus at some point?

  • Radiosity

Holy crap, seriously? Innocent Grey make some pretty awesome games if you don’t mind the dark content, it’s nice to see they’re getting some localisation action. Now please, PLEASE, don’t screw it up.

  • neocatzon

Yay, Cartagra! been waiting for a long time. I need to finish KnS one first. So many route…

  • ( `Д´)ノ)`ν゜)

    Best news in months.

  • FitzpatrickPhillips

Hah, I thought that said Katawa Shoujo 2.
    I need my morning coffee.

  • MrTyrant

Well, well. I wasn’t expecting this, really, after knowing that one of my most wanted novels won’t have a translation this news about Cartagra y KnS 2 made me really happy. I’ll buy this because this series deserves it.

  • bdp

unexpected. guess i should finish the first game.
