You, of course. The seventh and final downloadable quest for Shin Megami Tensei IV leads up to a fight with Sanat. If you manage to defeat Sanat you unlock his fusion so you can add Sanat to your party.

Meh, I am still REALLY iffy about this game having DLC, but it’s just adding extra stuff for me to do once I beat it, so it’s all good. I’m still awaiting news on some fanservicey DLC that makes Flynn look like other SMT protags, but whatevs.

    • Ethan_Twain

Wait. So are you iffy on the notion of DLC because you fear shallow fanservicey DLC, or because you expect it and are upset that it isn’t being delivered? I do not understand your angle.

      • benhofb

Personally, I have no problem with fanservicey DLC (well, as long as it is appropriately priced) and I welcome extensions to the game with open arms, but I just have issues with things that are being kept out of the game (like some of these optional bosses and demons) in order to have them as DLC. From what I understand though, the additional bosses and demons are pretty reasonably priced, so I suppose it doesn’t matter as much.

        • RoxasTheUnknown1

I suppose the counter argument to that would be that the game is packed with optional bosses already and so it’s really just a matter of how you look at it. If there were no DLC then theres no assurance things like this wouldve made it in. Not coming at you specifically btw. Just thoughts.

        • LightZero

It’s best to think of DLC being the replacement for director cuts. It’s better DLC than an enhanced port a year down the road like Overclocked and Break Record.

          • benhofb

Very true. It would be a totally lame move if we got “Shin Megami Tensei IV: Re: Summoned” or something in 2014.

        • Thom

I kinda have an issue with the level grinding DLC add on. Ok, fine if it’s there for newcomers but I hope there’s at least some designation that players who opt to play through normally can have to show they didn’t take the easy way out.

    • Charles Parker

I’m almost positive that that is in the game from the start. Pretty sure I remember a standard demonica being a costume. There’s a think to make Flynn looks like Lucifer’s human guise from SMT 2 with the blonde hair and different colored eyes. There’s a bunch of costumes already from the start.

Look at all the faces! His face even has a face on it.

  • Herok♞

Is it bad I read the guys name as Santa and not Sanat?

    • JMaster3000

I thought it was Satan lol

      • Herok♞

        I can see it happening

        • natchu96

Thought SMT Satan was the angel.

    • vileBrenman

Kinda wish santa was a dlc boss now…..

“Ye who has been naughty, prepare to meet your fate!!”

  • Piercingty
Just gonna leave this right here.

  • ragingmerifes

So we get to meet the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles?

  • Eefara

So is this the last awful demon design we’ll have to look at? I like the idea of the DLC, but I’m not sure if I’d even want to fuse these guys…

    • Thom

I know! What the heck is going on with these? Such a far cry from the dignity of SMT3’s Lucifer and other fiends.

  • Ouch My Head Said Dionysus

“Who will stop this colorful tyrant?” lolol

  • Abysswalker90

That is some really weird, strange, delusional design.
