Fate/kaleid Liner Prisma Illya is an upcoming Nintendo 3DS game based on the anime series of the same name where Illyasviel von Einzbern’s life is changed when she meets Magical Ruby, a Kaleidostick that turns her into a magical girl.

Also like the anime series, players explore Fuyuki City in search of Class Cards. Kadokawa Games managed to get the same voice actors to reprise their roles for the story parts. When it’s time to battle, the top screen shows the action while you select cards on the touch screen. Fate/kaleid Liner Prisma Illya also has a battle mode that supports up to four players through a local connection.

So far, Illya, Miyu, Rin, and Luvia are confirmed to be in the game which comes out on September 26 in Japan.

Game looks amazing! Too bad the 3DS is region-locked T_T Ah well, it’s still at the point if I get a 3DS it’s gotta be a Japanese 3DS

  • Saculogir

Oh god this looks like so much fun. I’d kill to have this game here in the states and I can’t wait for the anime’s premiere this Saturday ^^

      Nintendon’t buy our products.

  • Tails the Foxhound

So moé! @-@ These character designs are cute, is the anime any good?

    • MXC

It’s basically a stereotypical mahou shoujo(magical girl) anime with some Fate characters as far as I know and from what I’ve seen in the manga. Nothing too dark or deep.

      • Tails the Foxhound

Hmm, I’ll give it a shot. Thanks.

If you follow the manga, it start as Nanoha kind of Mahou Shoujo. Further to the series it’ll deeper into the characters and a bit darker (not urogen dark). Overall it’s a goofy and fun series. For typemoon fans they’ll enjoy full power servants and usual fate fanservices.

  • ShadowDivz

I find it hard to see ilya as a magical girl. What with her being bloodthirsty and all…

    • BloodyNights

I don’t remember her being blood thirsty… just angry at Shirou for never visiting her, and basically in a way stealing her father away from her.

      • DyLaN

Still, F/SN Ilya kinda killed my sympathy to her from Zero. I find Sakura to be even more likeable to Ilya atm.

  • Hidayat246

the power of loli is never dead right type-moon (¬,¬”)

    |’m a huge type-moon fan, and really want that game!!
but that region locking is on my way ):

    *Kyuubi Stares*: Make a contract!

    • PoweredByHentai

      The wand itself is Kyuubey.

      • Damarius Wingfield

        etu sir!

      • J_Joestar

nah, it is far worse than that, the wand is Kohaku!

        • PoweredByHentai

FSN and Tsukihime are in the same universe or Nasuverse. The Type Moon staff have said so already. As such, Kohaku is still herself and isn’t related to Ruby at all.

          • J_Joestar

it is more of a meta sense, Ruby and Sapphire largely resemble Kohaku and Hisui’s and are even voiced by the same VAs. It isn’t her in the literal sense of course.

  • J_Joestar

Should have Phantas-moon and Magical Amber as secret characters
