    25 more days…

    • Remina

The wait is unbearable… I’ve made 7 characters I’d gladly use, but now I have to choose which one I’ll actually play as lol.

  • Maumac77

Psh. This Benchmark made me sad because my computer can only run standard. It’s only 5 months old :(

    • Achrmaeiad

Really? I’m curious what your specs are, because my computer is six years old with a video card that’s nearing three years old and I get “Extremely High” performance with everything cranked up as high as it can go.

Mind you, both my CPU and GPU are overclocked a fair amount, but even still…

      • Maumac77

I haven’t overcloked either as of yet. Mostly cause I’m afraid to :p
Anyways. I have a intel i5-3570k (3.4GHz), MSI Radeon 7870 w/afterburner (if that’s relevant), 8GB of Corsair Vengence Ram, a 1TB hard drive, and a 120GB SSD. Forgot what CPU cooler was called, but I don’t use water cooling

        • KCdash

I’m pretty sure your computer can definitely handle maximum. I have a similar computer as you, same cpu (slightly oc’d @ 4ghz), gigabyte gtx 670, 8 gb of ram and I’m getting a score of over 10k from it on 1080 max

          • Maumac77

Hmm….Just ran the Benchmark again and I seem to be getting a score of 2100-2350 and this is on standard, and I’m fairly certain having a few tabs open affects it

          • KCdash

hmm still for a 7870 it shouldn’t be that low, only two things I can think of, are your graphic drivers up to date? and it’s slim but the integrated graphics might be interfering with your discrete gpu, you can try and check on your BIOS settings to see if the primary graphics adapter is set to pci-e and onboard vga is set to off

          • Maumac77

doens’t seem like it is although it’s listed as one of the adapters in when I checked the device manager

            *EDIT*
got it to work now thanks to you and Achrmaeiad ^_^

          • Achrmaeiad

A couple things I can think to check to add on to KCdash’s suggestions. Make sure your monitor is plugged into the video card and not a port from your motherboard. Also, make sure you have correctly connected the 6 or 8 pin PCI-e power cable to the video card. If the card isn’t getting enough power, it may be running at a far lower clock speed to prevent crashes.

          • Maumac77

Ah…well my monitor is connected to my motherboard so I’ll change that now.

          • Achrmaeiad

That would be the issue then! Since your monitor was connected to the motherboard, it was using the Intel HD video from your processor instead of using your 7870 to produce the video signal.

          • Maumac77

Yea that was the problem the rating of the computer itself jumped from a 3.5 to 7.6 and the benchmark passed 7000 after the first minute. Thanks for your help! :3

          • Achrmaeiad

Any time! I’m glad it turned out to be something so simple!

          • Noor Mahmoud

Lol, so you weren’t using your gpu the entire time. Btw, I’d recommend overclocking your cpu. I have my 3570k at 4.4ghz and it is running like a beast.

          • Maumac77

Yea. Show’s how much of a beginner I am -_-…..I do plan on overclocking it, I just haven’t had the time to truly do research on how to do it. Don’t want to just wing it and have something Fry or Melt. Would be $1100 right down the drain :(

          • Noor Mahmoud

What motherboard do you have? Depending on which, I can possibly give you a fool-proof guide. Everybody was a noob at one-time, but with willingness and help from others you’ll evolve into a non-noob :p

          • Maumac77

ASRock Z77 Extreme4. Yea I’m hoping to get better and build more and more, and branch out from just computers too. I’ve taken quite an interest in both the hardware and software that goes in to make all this

          • Noor Mahmoud

Well, luckily with your specific motherboard and cpu, there is a handy dandy guide I can give you. ww w.overc lock. net/t/1 198504/co mplete-overclocking-guide-s andy-bridge-ivy-bridg e-asrock-edition
            Have fun!

        • Achrmaeiad

Yeah, your computer is far better than mine. You should be able to play on maximum without any issue. If you’re having problems, something is screwing up royally.

          • Maumac77

Well when I first put it together it wouldn’t turn on. Took everything out and put it back in exactly the same way and it started to work so I would have no Idea where to start looking for a problem if there was one :p

Did someone say benchmark? *runs to download* :O

      I did.

Keep in mind, 7K+ is overkill. How to interpret the scores is on the bottom of the page of the benchmark. If you’re getting a 4K or above, it’ll probably run just fine for you.

For me, this is a custom-build unit. You probably won’t find this kind of power in normal retail.

      • malek86

Well, this is pretty much in line with what I expected.

Not sure why it says that my HD7850 has 4GB of memory, but whatever. For a PC that cost me pretty little to build, it’s great. When it comes to CPU/GPU, there’s usually diminishing returns when buying high-end components.

        • http://www.youtube.com/user/xxHiryuuxx Tohsaka

It’s the same thing for my GTX 680, actually. It’s a 2GB card but it takes upwards of 4GB for VRAM. I’m thinking it caches from your system RAM if it knows it can get away with it.

Though it doesn’t show it here, I’ve actually got 32GB of RAM in my system. This was before the price of RAM ballooned like crazy.

I’ve been using it a lot

  • Shinobikens

Now we wait for the game to be f2p

  • Longsun_Zhao

If you make a Miq’ote, just stop. Stop it. Now. Go home.

    • Longsun_Zhao

      Lalafells forever!

      • Draparde

        You have wonderful taste!

      Nya? =^_^=

    • KyoyaHibari

But I am home…making a Miq’ote…:3 only kidding, I’m going to be playing on PS3, so I don’t have the benchmark.

  • mojack411

When does this final phase of beta start again? I feel like it would be soon if the game’s release is right around the corner.

    • Ferrick

wasn’t it next week ? i do recall someone posting the calendar for it

    • Carlo

It should be announced around the 8th during the next Producer LL. Rumours for phase 4 have been around 17th – 20th

This runs really well on my computer, which makes me feel better about purchasing and building it. But it’s left me with no money in reserve, so I can’t commit to any monthly fees, which means I’ll unfortunately probably have to give this game a pass.

It’s a shame though, I really like the armor designs. I’ve been doing trials of various other MMOs over the past few years and the designs of armor and weapons in them were very underwhelming, but this doesn’t look too bad.

  • KuroNathan

well, I’m done with this game. I made my perfect char, time to move on!

  • Draparde

This benchmark runs on my laptop! (though i get about a 900 on it XD) all of the other benchmarks wouldn’t even turn on.

though i plan to play it on my desktop anyway.

Though im remaking my 1.0 character (which i can’t do in this benchmark) this did give me some new wallpapers :D

    • Alestaos

Im playing on laptop at “high performance” from the benchmark but im not bothered about benchmark scores though just wanna ssy laptops can do it too. And its cool it kept appearance data from p3. I hope everyone has fun creating chars (im struggling lookwise on minw xD ) and see everyone in game :D

      • Draparde

oh, i didint mean to say they can’t sorry if it came off that way lol.

My laptop’s just exceptionally old and not for gaming. so it surprised me lol.

        • Alestaos

Its no worries :) I see your going Lalafell they to me have the best sitting pose. Atm im stuck between a midland female and my miqote. The thing with the midlander female is her usual running and jumping animations, im hoping there modified since the stated they were gonna be more unqiue for P4 :)

  • Eric Rodman

How do you save settings on the benchmark? I’m not seeing any way to go back from the settings options to the main menu?

  • Mallory

If only the benchmark and game would work on MAC, I can’t take the wait of the game or the next Beta phase. TT.TT
