Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate is coming to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 as a download title. Konami announced the game via their Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Facebook page, and producer Dave Cox has confirmed it as well.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate HD will be available on October 31st on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network. Cox has stated over Twitter that there are no plans for a Wii U or PlayStation Vita version of the game.

Additionally, a while ago, Play-Asia began listing a Castlevania: Lords of Shadow (The Collection) game box, which will include the first Lords of Shadow game with its DLC, the Mirror of Fate HD port, and a demo for Lords of Shadow 2. Konami have not confirmed this bundle yet.

  • Jah-keem York

Geeze this is the fastest HD Come out I’ve seen

    • ヴィンチェンゾ Vincenzo

Time Ago they said they had already the HD version of the game since the 3ds one was just its downgrade

      • Jah-keem York

if the 3DS version bombed I hope they’re not asking why if that’s true

  • This game for the Vita was suppose to be the right answer. Not an XBOX 360/PS3 Digital Download! inb4onlydonetogetsafesales

  • WhyWai

PS Vita is the rightful place for this game… come on Konami…

  • d19xx

Are people port begging because the game is good or the Vita’s just left out?

    • malek86

Can’t really say, because I haven’t exactly heard good things about this game and the demo didn’t excite me either.

    • Minos

For what I have heard, the game is no good.

    • Eh, it’s more due to the latter, the former is a contradiction. Plus, I’m not seeing this game being better than the original 3DS version. Although, I hope I am wrong! I mean, the game needs a lot of fixes and gameplay improvements!

      • d19xx

So if it does gets ported to the Vita, people’s reaction would just be similar to Epic Mickey 2.

I didn’t even know that game is already out. 0_o

Save your port begging powers for localization instead folks. :)

        • Kevadu

Wait, who actually asked for Epic Mickey 2 for the Vita? I remember when that was first announced my reaction was basically, “why?” And I’m a Vita owner.

          • TheExile285

Same! If anything, Epic Mikey 1 would have been better!

and actually, I would have preferred a localization even to that. (Start publishing the Legend of the Heroes games Sony!!!)

    • César H. Sandoval

The game is bad, but it mades no sense to not bring it to a portable device because it was made as a portable game in the first place.

I guess people are worried about developers letting the Vita die.

    • Solomon_Kano

Mostly because Vita’s left out. Game got a very mixed reception.

  • anthony apduhan

awww no WiiU port like Resident Evil Revelations?

  • IxisNaugus

As expected. I purposely held off on buying the game for 3DS for this very reason. I guess it was pretty obvious, but I figured an HD port would show up sooner or later.

Heard mixed opinions on this one, from the graphics and frame-rate, to control and design choices. I doubt they’ll change up the latter too much, but I expect the former elements to get a good touch up.

  • LustEnvy

It sure as hell better run at 60fps. No excuses. The original was horribly sluggish.

  • Wii U <3 Vita holding hands

  • RoxasTheUnknown1

This whole porting handhelds to console is just getting silly at this point.

    • Is it really? It seems to be a viable option for a lot of 3DS games that people seem to want on the console side. Resident Evil Revelations, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Mirror of Fate. Keeps dev costs low, since development is based on a portable, but 3DS’ specs are high enough that you can up-port to consoles without the game looking like crap.

      • Daniel Jeanbaptiste

Monster Hunter and Resident Evil came to Wii U.
Monster Hunter only on Wii U as porting to console goes.

But Konami seems to hate Nintendo Consoles

        • Solomon_Kano

Yea! They hate them so much that MoF was originally on… oh wait.

          Seriously, man?

          • Daniel Jeanbaptiste

It not that. I haven’t seen on big game from Konami that gets some buzz one Nintendo system since Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes.

          • Solomon_Kano

Fair enough, though I think that’s less them hating Nintendo and more them sticking to where they’ve traditionally had an audience (since they aren’t doing a terrible lot beyond MGS) and nobody wanting to touch the Wii U right now.

They showed plenty of love to the DS and GBA, so they clearly don’t hate Nintendo.

  • ShawnOtakuSomething

are no plans for a Wii U ?……..its cheeper on the 3DS buying it for that then

  • DesmaX

Well, isn’t Mirror of Fate supposed to be important for LoS2?

I think the platforms choices make sense.

  • Spirit Macardi

It’s not going to be for Wii U or Vita? That means those consoles are technically getting the best version of the game XD

    • If they are lazy enough to do an EXACT port of the 3DS version (slowdowns included), then you are right.

      • Spirit Macardi

Even without the slowdown you’ve still got the same crappy gameplay and level design. It’s just a bit faster x3

  • $36598391

    no physical version? I’ll pass

  • mockturtle

And I JUST got the 3DS version, dammit. I don’t know how to feel about this.

  • pimpalicious

Mirror of Fate didn’t sound too bad but I was waiting for it to get cheaper. Now I’ll probably just get it on PS3, especially if the LoS bundle if confirmed because I haven’t played that either.

  • artemisthemp

I really looking forward to playing Mirror of Fate HD :)

  • Arcana Wiz

well i look foward it, i mean i didn’t play any castlevania LoS titles, so this rumored bundle will really ne great for me ^.^
