This Week In Imports: Wonderful Week For Wii U

By Spencer . August 19, 2013 . 4:30pm

imageThe Wonderful 101 from PlatinumGames and Nintendo is a beat ’em up that feels inspired by sentai style TV shows. Instead of rangers you have characters like Toilet Bowl Man and Vending Machine Man that loyally follow you even when you transform a line of heroes into a huge fist or a gun.

Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Masou Kishin III – Pride of Justice, Disorder 6, and Conception II are also available in Japan this week. Also, those Dungeons & Dragons arcade ports will be released as a retail game with unique features that aren’t part of Chronicles of Mystara.

  • I can’t wait until Wonderful 101 hits America. Does anyone have an idea on how big the game is gonna be? I’m considering getting a digital code of it.

    • Seta Soujiro

just get a usb hdd and don’t worry about that ever again

    • subsamuel01

Not a huge fan of digital, at least with Nintendo products since digital downloads are not account based. Rather have a retail copy to add to my collection, guess each person has their own preferences.

  • SetzerGabbiani

Already pre-ordered and paid off W101. The demo put me over the edge.

I do hope Spikes choice to ship more Vita copies of Conception works for them…more successes and proof that companies can make money off the vita will welcome more people to it :D, and other news Gamescon this week!

    • Laer_HeiSeiRyuu

They want a niche monopoly I think

    • hazelnut1112

Oh man, I seriously forgot Gameson is this week. This is seriously going to make or break the Vita literally.

  • z_merquise

Here’s hoping the sales for Wonderful 101 would be also wonderful in the long run because initially shipping only 30k copies seems too low.

  • mojack411

I sincerely hope W101 does well in Japan. I’m definitely getting it when it hits the US. The special ND for it, 7 minutes trailer, and demo sold me.

  • hazelnut1112

If this means that there are only going to be a few copies for this game in NA as well, then I ‘m gonna have to buy it even if I don’t have a Wii U. Don’t want it to later be a hard to get game, I don’t are for digital copies I like my physical copies dammit.
So this will be the third game I’m getting from a console I don’t even own until at a later time.

    • mojack411

What were the other two? Xenoblade and something else?

      • hazelnut1112

Metroid Prime Trilogy for the Wii.

        • mojack411

Oh was I right about Xenoblade? haha. Both are prime choices (pun intended).

          • hazelnut1112

Oh god, are you the same person that did that Sugar Rush pun on that Wreck it Ralph article?

  • Let’s hope it sold more than Hyperdimension Neptunia game!
