Though I’m cool with digital downloads for PC and handheld because there’s value in not carrying the game with you, it still baffles me that the companies would charge the same price for the download on a console.

Well let me rephrase that. I know WHY they would (so people would still buy physical copies on console and retail relations) but I still don’t care for it.

Still, a Ganondorf figure would be pretty fly depending on how it looks.

    • This is the figure in case you haven’t seen it.

    • Found a better pic.

      • Barrylocke89

        Yup. Pretty fly.

Well Wind Waker went from a wait till black Friday to buy to preordering as soon as I get home cause I’m a sucker for figures/statues. All Nintendo has to do now is some how getting rid of the region lock on the 3ds and they will become my favorite company again.

    • Laer_HeiSeiRyuu

They have it for a reason…
      does suck though.

      • Zenthos

And this reason is why people are now trying to hack the hell out of it. They would be making more profit without it.

        • Laer_HeiSeiRyuu

          And failing. Thankfully.

          • Kamakuma

Well it’s not really a fail but I digress. If things weren’t expensive there would be no need for stuff like that. But no matter how you slice it I agree that I am glad people haven’t done so.

          • Laer_HeiSeiRyuu

Im glad because I dont want a repeat of the DS and the Wii.

Too much pirating, less money to make games. Which also means third parties get salty when they cant make money,

  • KingGunblader

Eh, I was hoping it would be in the area of $39.99 – the standard for HD re-releases. But I’ll probably get the Wii U bundle anyway.

    • SS4Nels

This one doesn’t really hit me as a “standard” HD remaster.

They did add and tweak a good number of things in the game. It’s not just a graphics overhaul.

I love Nintendo, but I don’t feel like they understand how to price a remake. I know that you can argue that a number of things have been done to the game, but I don’t think that’s enough. If you look at Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix, various changes have been made to the original, such as right analog stick camera control, a summon slot, and reaction commands. Re:Chain of Memories has been added with no changes but it also includes a special movie version of 358/2 Days, which could have taken a significant amount of work to remake some of the text box cutscenes from the DS version. They also added extra unlockable themes for your PS3, plus a free artbook and additional theme with pre-order; all for only $40. There are a wide variety of other collections like this, such as the Ratchet and Clank Collection including games 1-3 with the third having PSN online play for only $30. I think that for $50, this should at least include ONE more game, maybe an N64 game, or Twilight Princess.

I think Nintendo understands that the game will sell at its higher price point, regardless of what its fans think. Prices are determined by their potential sell-ability, not by their actual value. Kingdom Hearts was probably sold at $40 because it’s been a number of years since the last entry. It’s brand power is not as great as that of Zelda’s.

  • Presea

A gannondorf figure? That’s pretty cute actually.

  • RazeXI

If the figure looks cool then this may be a reason to stop by at gamestop again

  • KonjikinoSora

Is this article wrong or did they just switch the release months for Donkey Kong and 3D World?

    • Tatsuya1221

It’s not wrong, for some reason nintendo switched their release dates.

  • J_Joestar

wonder if the figure will be available with the Wii U Zelda Bundle?

  • Eefara

The Ganon/game combo will actually cost $59.99.

  • Bur

I must have Ganondorf for my work desk. He will do battle with my inbox and payroll reports.

  • Ixbran

… i dont even own a WiiU, and im tempted to get this JUST for the figurine …

  • Nyandroid

With this and Ys collector’s edition. I’m suddenly really glad for being stuck with double shifts for a while =owo=~

  • Teepo 64

I wonder if the Ganondorf figure is exclusive for this bundle.

  • Virevolte

    Very nice cover !

  • yalissa

Oh god. I’m so conflicted. I don’t have a WiiU and I don’t particularly want this game since I already have the gamecube version, but a Ganondorf figure? That’s too good to pass up. I NEED A GANONDORF FIGURE.
