gunslingerstratos2Gunslinger Stratos from Square Enix and Bravely Default developer Silicon blends light guns with a versus mode. The controllers are unique too, the game has two interlocking guns and the attack you do changes depending on the configuration. Square Enix announced Gunslinger Stratos 2 is in development and more information about it will be shared in November.

Gunslinger Stratos will also get an update that adds Srinivasa, a blind musician from India who uses ultrasonic technology to "see."

The game will also have a new stage based on Susukino in Sapporo. Blasting your friends in real life locales like Hokkaido or Shibuya’s Scramble Crossing is another one of Gunslinger Stratos’ novelties.

That is one blond Indian, but at least his red coat looks pretty nifty… though I wonder how well you see the character when you’re flying around blasting the cityscape with all those laserbeams.

iO….Ooooh Arcade, that’s cool, maybe it’ll get a console port, considering, you know, how Arcades are dead in the West

    • Shady Shariest

      Dead, buried, mourned, gone :/

  • Juan Andrés Valencia

    I want a PS4 port.

  • Andrew A

My friend and I played the original last year. We didn’t realize that each player used two guns so we were basically sharing a character. We felt pretty dumb when we figured that out. It took a while too.

  • Arcana Wiz

i wondered why i didn’t knew this square game, and now i see…. Arcades, maybe we can have chances if it one day be ported to consoles, cause arcades in the west are….. in a bad situation.

    • Kaitou21

Arcades still exist in the west? I never knew that, thought they died out during the n64 era

  • FitzpatrickPhillips

So it ended up doing well? Thats pretty awesome. Good for them.
I wonder if there is a chance it will come to consoles.

  • Solomon_Kano

I still wish they’d have ported the original to something. It looked awesome.

Sometime I wonder, am I the only one who still plays arcade shooter frm time to time.

Never heard/seen this be4 over here though.

    • JustThisOne

I still play House of the Dead obsessively! But Gunslinger Stratos has, so far, been JPN only, I believe.

      • DyLaN

I have given up on beating HotD3 and 4 lol. Dem Fool/Star and Final Boss.

Recently been trying to beat Sega Golden Gun.

        • JustThisOne

I could never get through that game because the dialogue would wreck me. I mean, House of the Dead was pretty bad too – especially 2 – but Golden Gun was precious.

EDIT: But I digress, I’m getting pretty off topic. M’bad.

Nah, when I go to arcades, I still usually have a go at Time Crisis 4. You’d think I’d get better, but I never make it past Stage 2. I also sometimes play Let’s Go Jungle just for the heck of it.

  • Zikrayrus “Zikk” Dis Pear

Asian Arcades are still alive and well but it seems that Gunslinger Stratos isn’t in anyone’s sights at the moment…

Wish they would bring it over to Singapore. Then I can play it. XD
