  • Espoir

    Yuna’s looking spectacular as usual.

  • Thrasher429

Trailers are cool and all but a release date sure would be nice Square (hinthint)

    • Espoir

      December 19 for Japan.

      • Thrasher429

I believe that date came from a fake source at least thats what a quick google revealed =/

  • I hope the final product costs the same as the ps3 version

  • Go2hell66

at this point they might as well just come out and say were getting it in 2014

  • Cyberjin

at least we got a release window from it = winter 2013

  • Sheesh still no concrete date on it. :( ohh well I will continue to wait but hopefully it releases on a not crowded date and also not too close to Lightning Returns which I will pick up not day 1.

    • SunOatBoatMatadorQuattro

Kind of funny how the remaster is taking more time to be released than the original game.

  • gRiMmYdArK13

Do we get the dressspheres and grids from Last Mission?

  • Detrimont

the width of the video frame is set to 56px, is this just for me?

  • Masa

    game looks beautiful!

  • NightzeroAX

Since there’s no date I guess we’re not going to be getting this till 2014.

    • Matt Andre

It said this Winter. Preeeetty sure that’s November/December/January, if American seasons. If not, then it’d be, like, June, Australian Winter.

      • NightzeroAX

Yes I know that but I need an exact date. I have to budget.

      • Steven Higgins

        American winter is December/January/February.

  • Testsubject909

Still doesn’t tell me what’ll happen with Thousand Words.

I mean, are we going to get the video/song of the Japanese version, or the video/song of the English version (that was ultimately decided on). Or are we going to somehow magically get the English version sung by the original Japanese singer that was never released?

Or are we going to get an odd mixture of both?

What happens if we get Dual-audio. Does that mean that we’ll get different videos for the cutscene itself?

    • 하세요

As much as I love Koda Kumi, I think Jade’s English version was much better as her English is far superior to Koda’s. I still prefer 1000 no Kotoba over Jade’s 1000 Words, though.

    • Testsubject909

A downvote because I’m expressing curiosity as to an actual issue that would come up with a localized piece in the game?

Wow, some people go low with their blind dislikes. Ah well, I’m sure you’re just too tsun tsun or something.

  • pho_Enix

The real story here is how awesome the remastered version of Assault is.

  • Ali

Is it bad of me to look more forward to FFX2 than X?
Both X2 and XII really fleshed out my teenage years along with Suikoden 5!

    • leingod

Not really, I’m also looking forward to X-2 too, since I skipped it back then… so it’ll be nostalgic and new at the same time :D

    • Arcana Wiz

no many people hate X-2 but for me it have more dear memories than FX.

    • Covnam

Not at all. I loved the battle mechanics of the dress sphere / job change system in X-2. Can’t wait to play it again.

    • Testsubject909

Nah, I understand. I’m far more interested in X-2 then X. And I’ve been talking about why I feel X-2 is the better of the two, much to the cries of “HEATHEN” and the likes.

    • SunOatBoatMatadorQuattro

It’s the opposite for me. I’ve replayed X about 7 times and X2 felt boring to me to the point I only played it twice. Maybe it’s because X2 becomes suprisingly easy if you do all the side missions which are quite tedious so it’s a mixed bag. On the other hand, the first time I played X I didn’t do any of the sidequests since they aren’t available until near the end which left challenge factor intact. Moreover, the sphere grid made replays awesome since I could choose not to improve the characters’ skills.

Not to mention X2 having two of the most annoying obligatory minigames including pushing a group of musicians with some clunky controls and a near the end when you have to avoid fights and then handle lots of cameras.

      • Ali

Oh no, dont get me wrong, I played FFX 4 times whereas FFX2 only twice, I received the good ending and the sad ending, now that I can finally play the Last Mission, im over the moon because I’ve always loved its Battle System.

I was sad that once you’ve received the ‘Cat Nip’ and equip it on Yuna’sg gunner, you’re pretty much overpowered. Glad that we have Last Mission to balance that out

  • Ali

Also whose getting the Vita version?? I’ve already enjoyed these titles on the big screen, it makes sense I’d drool over the thought of portability versions of the games

    • SerendipityX

Yep I’m definitely more hyped about the vita versions, specifically X-2.

    • Testsubject909

I’ll be buying the Vita version. X-2 only.

FFX was always just sort of okay in my book, with the Blitzball minigame holding most of my interest as the main quest was… eh? Basically it’s just not worth replaying in my personal opinion.

X-2 though? Very fun gameplay so that’s definitely worth replaying for that alone.

  • Ah, such wonderful memories playing these two games. For all the people who didn’t play the original X and X-2, you’re in for a treat =^_^=

  • fairysun

    Will there be dual audio?

    • Testsubject909

      If there’s dual audio.

What’ll happen to Thousand Words? The whole cutscene/song are different between the Japanese and English version.

  • artemisthemp

Keep in mind that This Winter could mean anything from December to February.

Smarts would be January, since their historical ain’t releasing anything in that month.

    • Zangetsu777

Final Fantasy XIII-2 was released January 31st 2012 in N.A.

  • SunOatBoatMatadorQuattro

This teaser actually made a good transition between the FF10 and FF102 scenes unlike previous ones.

  • Ali

The dreaded Coin Sphere minigame! I’ll conquer you this time :D

  • Göran Isacson

Wonder if I should just go and sell off the old PS2 version of this to fund the upgraded purchase… never did own the sequel, so I might as well acquire that one too in one fell swoop.

  • Steven Higgins

This is weird. Yuna’s voice acting in this seems so wooden, almost mechanical, but I don’t remember it being like that at all. Maybe its because it’s out of context or because the fast-pace music doesn’t mach her somber tone, but it seems like it was better back then and even in earlier trailers.

    • Testsubject909

Honestly the voice acting in FFX wasn’t what you’d call Stellar back then.

      • SerendipityX

FFX has not aged well in the dub area, Kingdom Hearts was like that too.

        • Testsubject909

Well at least FFX aged a bit better then FF7 in the overall package.

Gathering ALL the hate! Come on, downvote me, you know I’m right and I’ma be taking your downvotes as silent seething agreement.

      • Steven Higgins

Well I’ve been playing 1.5 and it seems to be just as good to me now as it did back then. This sounds worse for some reason.

    • SunOatBoatMatadorQuattro

They needed fast paced music to fit FF10-2’s themes. The previous trailers it gave FF10 a fitting somber tone with the “What can I do for you?” from FF102 making a poor transition.

  • Distant_arcana

I really believe SE would go for a jan 10 release.
