Batman: Arkham Origins Season Pass Includes Brand New Story DLC

By Ishaan . September 26, 2013 . 9:00am

Warner Bros. have announced a season pass for Batman: Arkham Origins, which will include five packs of DLC for the upcoming game. The pass will cost $19.99/£15.99, and here’s a list of what it includes:

  • Gotham by Gaslight Batman and Brightest Day Batman skins

  • New Millennium Skins Pack

  • Infinite Earths Skins Pack

  • Arkham Origins Initiation Challenge Maps: Play as Bruce Wayne before he became Batman, and take on his final test to prove himself worthy to his teacher, Kirigi.

  • An all-new story campaign (no details yet)

The language Warner Bros. use in their announcement makes it sound like Batman: Arkham Origins will have more DLC than the content included in the season pass, but this hasn’t been detailed yet. Batman: Arkham Origins will be available on October 25th for PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U.

    Season pass really?

    • Sardorim

People keep buying them so Devs are comfortable throwing it out whenever they can now.

  • Lloyd Christmas

I was so looking forward to this game and was planning on getting it on launch. Now all of a sudden I feel like just waiting for the inevitable GOTY edition.

    • FitzpatrickPhillips

Can’t wait to see the cover this time

  • British_Otaku

Where can I preorder the GOTY Edition? Assuming of course that the game is good and it includes everything to come.

    • Godmars

You’ll likely have to wait a few months. That’s usually how it goes.

    • Rohan Viajar

      that’s what I’m gonna wait for. :D

  • StaticDestroyer

14 skins, a challenge map and a hitherto unknown story dlc does not a season pass make.
Whenever I see one of these things announced it makes me cringe.
Borderlands season pass was great value, I expect the bioshock one to be much the same. This however, for the most part, is the kind of content that would be unlockable back in the ps2 era.
It’s kind of saddening to see that what started out as a pretty decent saving for consumers has slowly degenerated into another money spinner for devs and publishers.
Going to wait for the inevitable GOTY, if I buy it at all.

    *waiting for the GOTY version*

  • I understood some of the season passes before (specifically games with online multiplayer features) were to create a win-win situation for the publishers, but its very disheartening to see DLC attached to a season pass for a game that is a single player experience.

I wasn’t going to get the at launch but now I look forward to the GOTY edition like others.

    Day 0 DLC. Wonderful.

  • SonicRulez

Now I regret my preorder. Now what? I show up to pick it up and I still have an extra 20 to lay down?

  • Kango234

Really did not take long for WB to mutilate this franchise

  • Fub Frank

The last couple of days all I have seen is 2 announcements of dlc and pre-order bonus’. It is already making up on my mind about this game.
