By Ishaan . October 2, 2013 . 8:34am

Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Director’s Cut has a release date. The game will be released for PC, Wii U, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on October 22nd. A Mac version will follow “in the near future”.

In the Director’s Cut version of the game, Tongs’ rescue mission mission and the Missing Link DLC chapter have been integrated into the existing story. The game also features improved boss fights, tweaks to game balance and combat, as well as improved AI. Finally, also available is over 8 hours of developer commentary.

If you pick up the console version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Director’s Cut from the Square Enix store, you’ll also get a new Deus Ex novella, Deus Ex: Fallen Angel, for free. Written by James Swallow, the book follows Malik, just prior to the events of Human Revolution.

Took them quite a while to get it out after they Rayman’d it.

*You guys really should make those new tags*

    Oh well, will get it.

I thought it’s coming 2014, but this Oct is even better. One of my favorite games of this gen. Pure masterpiece, beat it 5 times and this one has new game +. Let the fun begin!

Sucks EB doesn’t offer the novel, guess it’s gonna be my first order from SE store. Cause I can’t miss that book.

Hmmm… I don’t really care that much about graphics. Can anyone comment on whether the GamePad features would make this worth getting on Wii U over PS3/360?

    • Laer_HeiSeiRyuu

They added the DLC into the main campaign, re-tuned the enemy ai, and gave boss fights even more options

Its got quite a lot of stuff, so get it

    • The PS3 and 360 versions support Cross Controller and SmartGlass functionality. Not to mention Trophies/Achievements. There’s no reason to get the Wii U version.

      • sfried

        Miiverse integration?

        • I suppose so. If it were up to me, I would have kept it Wii U exclusive. I’m really annoyed both of Montreal’s projects have gone multi multiplatform. It just decreases the value of the products in my opinion.

      • idrawrobots

My word, Trophies and Achievements! I’ll stick to the Wii U version. VV Miiverse VV

        • Well, not to mention the Vita has a higher res screen than the Wii U GamePad. That alone gives the PS3 version the edge.

  • Oh man, it’s not even a timed exclusive for the Wii U anymore? Man.

    • Laer_HeiSeiRyuu

What you thought it would be when it was supposed to come out in May?

      • Can’t say I’ve been following it closely.

If the Wii U is going to be the nee Wii in terms of third-party support, I hope we at least get to see some of the smaller, quirky types of games the Wii had – stuff like No More Heroes, Opoona, Little King’s Story, etc.

A good excuse to replay this game again, and put it next to my augmented edition. My only gripe was the use of stamina points, on silent melee take downs. Other than that, excellent game!

    • Daniel Williams

my main gripe is that only the first energy bar recharged. If they fixed that, I will buy this day one.

  • Weeb

So is the Wii U version still gonna be 20 dollars more than the other version for no reason?

    • Laer_HeiSeiRyuu

      I dont know

    • sfried

I don’t think so. From what I heard the WiiI version is priced the same as the other versions.

I never played this new Deus Ex. I’ll go with the pc version.
this is one of the few games that i was hyped but i missed the oportunity to play because of my backlog

  • Saculogir

Time to buy this game for a 3rd time!

  • TheGunheart

I just wish they made a new final level or something…

  • Blesmi

Had this been developed by CD Projekt RED, owners of DE:HR would have gotten the director’s cut content as a free upgrade. But alas, not everyone can be as amazing as them.

  • Guest

    Can’t wait.

  • Aristides

is the Wii U version superior to the rest? (like using the Wii U gamepad) I wonder if they’ll ever make a Vita version…
